Like, occasionally a bad decision relating to poker has cost me some $$, but meh.
among my worst decisions was not accompanying some muso english guy i met surfing to his friend's hotel party in sydney - i'd got him in to some club for free cos i was door-listed, so the pom was repaying the favour. Anyway, i didn't go the party cos i wanted to go to bed early so i could head out for a dawn surf next day.
apparently things got pretty wild at said party, he claimed to have told me that some girl band was hosting - i'm pretty sure he didn't...

Heh. I'm not sure how women being soulless succubus robots hellbent on reaping destruction in their wake has anything to do with my decision-making.
Only bad decisions I make are refusing to learn from my mistakes

Co-signed for a girlfriend's car loan.
Lesson learned: never co-sign for anyone. NEVER.

Besides the prop bet, getting with a certain girl that was/is off limits. Griff knows what I'm talking about.

it means that you've already made the decision - it's just that you haven't had the std test yet to realise that it was a mistake rather than another notch/milestone

I was baking some bread today. I wasn't sure what Germ (german) translates to, but I thought it was yiest, yeast... something like that, so I googled it and hit image results.
Definitely the worst choice I've made today.

Ok, oskar, good point.
Worst mistake was doing a google image search for Harlequin. You think you'll just get images of jolly dancers but oh no.

Turning down a trading job on the Chicago Options Exchange for the trading gig here at BP in Houston (which I ended up get getting let go from) because...
I was scared I would fail up in Chicago.
Job would have had me trading faster and given me more experience than the job at BP
Now, it seems like I can't get my foot back in the door to do trading, which is what I love.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

And worst decision of my life - taking my ex girlfriend to Uni with me, even though she wasn't going to uni, and living with the psycho bitch for a few miserable fucking years whilst my friends had a fuckin ball.
And all because it seemed easier to take her with than break up with her at the time I told her I was going to uni, cos surely she won't actually go through with it and come with, and if she does, surely she just won't enjoy it and will just leave, and if she stays for a year, surely she'll want to do something with her life and not just hang around waiting for me, and if she does hang around surely I won't get a joint lease on a flat with just the two of us for my final year and the bitch then, fucking then, after all that fucking time, then, when only I've signed the lease cos it's student digs and she aint a student, then,..... then the bitch fucking leaves!

Talking on the phone every day, squeezing as much time into weekend or holiday visits with each other, the mind games of what she's doing when she's out and what she wonders what you're doing when you're out, etc, etc is not a real relationship. Don't get me wrong, she's a great girl and while we didn't ultimately work out I don't regret dating her as a person. I regret dating her for so long in what was never a true relationship. Long distance is just impossible to grow as a couple imo.
Plus I'm banging your gf when you're not visiting her so you should probably end it.

deciding that going straight on to the bushes at the bottom of a dirt/gravel mountain road in buttfuck Guatemala was a wiser choice than getting roadrash by trying to make the hairpin turn on my bike with no brakes.
roadrash>flying over a cliff

ya, 100% agree with all of this. Long distance is just clinging to something that needs to end ftmp. There are exceptions, but they are rare, and they are even rarer when the two people (or one of them) is in college.

Shoulda went home instead of going to that other bar. The other bar was closed so I had to drive home. Then I saw them in the rearview mirror.
