I think Frank's Red Hot sauce is better than Tabasco. It's about as spicy, but has more flavor. Tabasco is just spicy vinegar.

i agree with the theorem just about everything is better with hot sauce
i've never met a hot sauce i didn't like
tabasco, franks, crystal, louisana best, green tabasco, chipolte tabasco
are all fantastic
my favorite is the asian hot sauce sriracha(a must for dim sum, great on hot dogs and leftover chinese food)
http://www.huyfong.com/frames/index.htm
hot pepper jellies are great also

We have a local jelly canner who expanded to include hot sauces a few years ago. Just walking into the place makes the eyes water.

I used to work in a hot sauce bottling factory on the assembly line. We made stuff from the "Pain is Good" line.

Can't say I'm a big regular tabasco sauce guy, but I love the Chipotle Tabasco sauce.

trip report- definitly gulosh (sp?) left , but only 3 1/2 droplets of franks. than i noticed all the dried up franks around the brim of the bottle and thought those might just be like franks red hot flakes if i added them , similar to red pepper seeds , but meh seem a little disgusting.

Only 2 problems with tabasco, it tastes bad and it's supposed to be a hot sauce but it's not hot. Blair's sauces on the other hand, teh awesome:
http://extremefood.com/product.php?id=5
The after death actually tastes good and it's not crazy hot (provided you're used to spicy food), though they have milder versions too, the original death sauce is quite a bit milder.
As everyone knows, the "hotness" of chilies is produced by capsaicin, and the level of that is measured in scoville units. Here are some measurements for a little comparison:

oops.. sorry. There's a Frank's RedHot XTRA HOT version that's just about as hot as Tabasco (according to the Scoville scale above).

I had some sort of hot sauce called 'Dave's Insanity Sauce' once. I put it on some chicken wings. The side of the bottle said it was created by mental patients in some desert, but I think that was a lie. It was quite hot though.
Also I saw some stuff that came in a medical-looking container and had instructions that were something like:
1) Add a drop to any dish you make
2) Use wooden utensils to mix it around, do not use steel utensils because they will react chemically due to spiciness.
I didn't even touch that stuff though, it sounded too hardcore.

Watched a chick put like a quarter bottle of Texas Pete in her sweet tea a few days ago. At breakfast.
She also covered everything on her plate in it. Eggs, sausage, grits, biscuit, gravy. She was ~Doyle's age fwiw.

This stuff is fantastic. I'm going through a bottle of it right now. Goes with everything. No hotter than tobasco, but the flavour blows away any of those boring vinegar & red pepper sauces.

Tabasco sauce in a sweet raspberry wine sauce is like shoving the pure nuts into 9 other callers on the river.

caramelise garlic, green chillies, onions, fresh tomatoes, salt, vinigar and suger. bubble for ages in pan then jar. Add a few spices in the middle somewhere.
wolla garlic chilli chutney.
Leave for two weaks then eat while drunk. Lifts the roof off your mouth and makes you honk like hell.
tabasco is great. encona sauce is great. if they could combine garlic/chilliis and alcohol I would probably be in heaven.
