I was playing this at the weekend. It's awesome, but I sucked at it.I don't have a wii though, so every time I play a game on it I suck, it's just trying to get my head round the controller. Even using the steering wheel the best I could manage was a 2nd place!
I you have a wii - get this, best game I've played for it so far. Sonic olympics in multi-player is pretty great too.

mario kart is the shit yo. havent tried out the multiplayer, but w/ 12 racers it seems like it cant really dissapoint. going to try it out tonight.

28k fpps = $364 at the same rate as the 650 for 50k bonus that i can get at platinum star. I understand its a little better at nova but probably not enough to mention. The Wii is for sale for $250 at bestbuy.com so starsing it is a sucker play.

The more reviews I read about this game the less excited I get. All of the reviews talk about how Nintendo took out all the skill from powersliding and how there's a lot more luck involved that previous Mario Karts (12 players = 12 items being thrown around). I'm sure I'll pick it up eventually but probably not anytime soon now that GTA IV is getting such ridiculously high reviews.
Also the Wiis are still sold out online (sold out on bestbuy.com already euph). This is what the stores do: they save all the Wiis they get until a big game comes out (SSBB, Mario Kart) then when that game comes out they put them on sale and they sell out within a matter of hours. You're not going to find a Wii in a store anytime soon unless you go online and look at the sunday ads ahead of time and then go to the store when it opens and hope that you got there early enough to get one.

yeah but psychologically you feel like you are getting it for free. at least i ordered mine when they were having supply issues so i bitched and got 5.6k fpps back

I played it and it sucks IMO
I do not really care for reviews though, I used to do that back when EGM was cool and still had Sushi-X on staff
