i just picked this sick acura up from chicago sunday. today i was driving to my buddys to pick him up for bball. i was turning left into his apt complex, and there were some cars coming, so i waited. fucking god damn bitch had to have been 30-40 yards behind me, i was stopped for a good 7 seconds i felt like, god damn blasts me in the back. it was completely her fault but it's just so fucking frustrating having picked it up literally 24 hours ago. FUCK!

On a more serious note about women drivers, in case anybody is interested, I believe the most likely reason that women are typically worse drivers than men is due to, as children, girls' lack of playing sports and video games. The reason for this has to do with those things using and developing the part of the brain that involves things like spatial, depth, and number perception. This is also the same reason for why women do not excel at math the way men do
However, it is believed that any girls who have similar practice with sports and video games as the typical boys do not express this lack of talent (more like lack of practice) in those areas

I don't think wufwugy's theory can be correct, if it was we could expect Asians to be the best drivers.
Seriously that sucks. I got rear-ended in similar fashion once, but it was by an Asian guy. Was stopped at a red light for a few seconds and he drove right into me without slowing down at all. I'll never forget the stupid look on his face when we pulled into the parking lot and he looked at my bumper hanging off the back of my car at an angle, and said "Can you just let this slide, I don't have any money...."

Validation of a theory similar to that came to me upon watching a lecture by a neurologist, but that had to do with why women do not excel at math. There are other reasons as well (like women not socially being driven towards mathematical fields, not caring, etc)
The reason for this was lack of practice with developing parts of the brain that deal with spatial perception. I simply infer that this may be the case with driving as well. I do so mainly because I'm struck by how many poor drivers are simply just misjudging space. Like watch the one where the chick can't park for like 2 minutes then the dude parks in one try. The difference was that she was not using the space around her while he was. Spatial perception is something that is necessary when playing sports or video games. If you have the football and you're running towards the end zone, you're constantly making instantaneous calculations about how fast you're moving, how fast others are moving, in what directions, where the holes are and are not, where holes are most likely to develop, where your body needs to be at what point to achieve the best results, etc
I'm sure that Asians that suck at driving neither grew up on sport nor video games. That stereotype has more to do with Asian women, for starters, but also has to do with immigrants who are usually not technologically savvy up to US standards, and usually come from poorer backgrounds that don't engage in sport as actively
There could be another reason along the lines of women not really caring much for or not paying much attention to automobiles whereas men do, and this affects their driving abilities somehow. I haven't thought much on that one though...
P.S. Poor Asian drivers could be for so many reasons. Like another one could be lack of practice since they're usually coming from a country that doesn't drive as much, or that the traffic laws and standards are very different than US. I hear tell that somebody from the US would have a very difficult time driving in India, for example

I got into an accident with an asian woman once; she jumped out uber quick at a stop-sign intersection when it was my turn + I was on her right. Ended up t-boning her and she couldn't open her side door. She eventually gets out and bitches at me that it was her turn. Ok, whatev, exchange insurance info, by the end of it she's apologizing and saying it was her fault. wtf? way to go, now I have a story for the insurance company. I was eventually assigned 10% fault and that was that. My car had virtually no damage.
btw Wuf, just curious, where did you attend this lecture, and do you know the name of the Dr.?
