Actually the real reason I don't post at 2+2 anymore is because I got IP-banned, but that's neither here nor there.
I found this thread on 2+2- "Man kills brother over KFC, wanna guess his skin color?"

Now my main issue with this thread, aside from the blatant racism, is the fact that had anyone but a mod made this post, he would have been banned before he could say Sklansky. I hate how there is this hierarchy at 2+2 where the mods can do whatever the fuck they want, and as a result everyone treads lightly around them so that they don't get banned for some stupid shit. I especially hate [censored] for being such a tyrant and also because I suspect he was the one who exiled me from 2+2 for making gimmick accounts of him.
Here's the article that was posted, in case you're interested.
"FORT WORTH — A fight between two brothers over a piece of chicken ended when the older sibling fatally stabbed the other in the chest and temple, police said.
Marcus Williams, 21, was arrested and charged with murder Friday in the death of his 17-year-old brother, Michael.
The teenager had returned home with some chicken Friday when his older sibling took a piece without asking, Fort Worth Lt. Gene Jones said. After the two fought, Marcus Williams allegedly retrieved a knife from the kitchen and stabbed his brother.
The victim died a short time later at a nearby hospital.
Three other family members were at home with the attack occurred, Jones said.
Marcus Williams remained in a Mansfield jail Saturday."

I havn't had any problems at 2+2 the short time I've been a member there.
It's definately a tougher atmosphere there so to speak, but the poker content can't be beat.

Theres plenty of racist baffoonery that goes on over here too. Without reading the context (and i really cant be bothered too) its hard to say whether it was ment as a joke or not. I find it at least a little bit offensive either way and I usually kick ass about such things, but seeing as you guys are on the other side of the world I just steer clear of those threads, even if they seem jokey. some things just aint cool. I like 2p2 for the poker content but the comunity spirit just isnt there. Lets just try and make sure FTR stays a happy place for all the children to play and steer clear of this kind of shit...and of course lynch people for this stuff IRL.... then we will have done our jobs.

I yea agree with what Pelion said, I dont condone racism, but I think we see it here as well.
I also agree that for poker content, it is the best you can get. As Lukie said, it is a tougher atmospere which I why I primarily lurk there and you only really see a good community feel among the elite players. At FTR there really isnt that arrogant feel to the community and thats why I stick around here, its a much better environment for "hands on" learning.

His post is wrong. I am not racist at all, sometimes me and my friends crack jokes about racism.. but if you're with your friends and/or people who have a sense of humor of that style, knock yourself out. If you're speaking out to a range of thousands of people who can easily be offended by something like that, then that's wrong. Just because you do not find it wrong doesn't mean someone else thinks the same as you.
But damn, that's a sad story.
