whoa boys, you need to go back and talk to mannerboy if you want.
This is a bit of BS. I borrowed 500 from Mannerboy - who I Taught HOW TO PLAY, and who has made what 30k or so since i staked him his first $150. I didn't ask him for it, btw, he insisted that I shouldn't have to rebuild.
He got impatient, I got pissy. But we're fine now.
I'm no Radashack. Ive never asked anyone for a cent. Mannerboy insisted that he help me - when he was oozing money from every pore. I took it. IT was a mistake because the problem was in my mentality, not my br. We're fine now. We did have a pissing contest a while back, however.
If i'm not wanted on FTR, I'll leave.
(Rada was a good guy, however. He helped me to alot of final MTT tables. I gave him, what? $1000 or more in tips for helping me. I never asked for a cent back. And I will say that everyone who loaned him money was an adult who could make decisions for themselves. Loaning a stranger who plays poker money - and not getting it back - is like pissing in your boot and complaining that your sock smells funny. What did they think would happen.)
I thought the poll thing was fun and games. Evidently there's an issue with some of you. I'll have mannerboy comment on this thread. If he says there's an issue, then I'll leave FTR until he says otherwise.

Aoks posts have been some of the most helpful I have ever read on FTR (or anywhere else for that matter) and it would be a huge waste if some of you guys, who lets face it, dont actually know anything about the situation, forced him to leave.

Yes, I am a noob around here, but after spending the last month enjoying every detail of AOK’s posts, I am shocked by this development. Everybody here has so much to gain from AOK and everything to lose if his tremendous experience and insightful writings are no longer part of FTR. AOK represents everything that is so great about FTR, I can’t wait to buy his book, I intend to model my future play on his system. I am currently just a home game player (5 kids = 0 BR for now), but my poker knowledge and skills have improved tremendously due to AOK (and everybody else here!!)

All fair. This is what happened, it was quite a while ago.
Mannerboy came to irc and pasted an e-mail from aokrongly saying roughly "dont worry about when you will get your $500 back, you won't"
In Mannerboy's defense, he never wanted to make much of this.
Not even expose aokrongly in public, but some of us told him to.
I, personally, did not want a thief to go on unexposed.
If they solved it, that's fine. However, the last time I spoke to Mannerboy he was still upset about this. That was a couple of weeks ago though, so we'll see as soon as he replies in here and then we can drop this.

i still think he's a valuable member.. obviously the stealing part sucks, and well.. i guess i wont be lending him money, not that i was likely to anyway.. but thats a wealth of knowledge your pushing out there if he leaves.
and mannerboy doesnt seem to be too worried about it, though i personally wouldnt have liked it if there was a previous agreement that the money would get back to him
