Socialism for everyone = bad!
Socialism for corporations = good!
Socialism that would benefit everyone; such as health care, is wavered on endlessly, yet, when Wall Street CEO's want a bailout, guess who pays for it? The TAX PAYERS! So, even though I don't give two shits about bailing out some CEO and his failed business model, I must turn my hard earned cash over to the government, so they can socialize it. And, don't think you'll see any of the profits from these socialized corporations if they ever turn a profit again.

this Country is not as Great as it used to be. Maybe in the future things will turn around.
But I doubt it.

oh it will definitely turn around; the questions are when and how much. as much as i dont wanna believe it, even if palin gets the oval office we're still not fucked beyond repair.
the political parties have been all over the map with policies and constituencies throughout our history. like the religious right's mega power is relatively new, and republicans used to be mega liberal

The whole point of capitalism & The American Dream is that you have the freedom to be part of that collective scum; see Animal Farm

Also, can someone tell me why isolationism wouldn't be a good idea, seeing as your economy is going further down over at least the next 6 months and military projects are looking grim?

Isolationism = non-interventionism + protectionism
Getting out of foreign countries and cutting down on federal spending in general would be the optimal way to get out of this. But protectionism would be horrible.
