I fix airplanes all night at work. Our computers are blocked from access to poker sites (WARNING: this site is classified as GAMBLING, and is explicitly forbidden! If you attempt to view this site you will be hung by your balls...blah, blah, blah...) But on the off chance that we get a break in the work, we do play a little poker in the engine shop. That's the beauty of night shift.
There's three types of people in the world...those who can count, and those who can't.

I work for a rather large defense contractor and it's a nice cushy job that allows me to get pretty much anywhere on the internet within reason. I surf FTR sometimes, but would rather not mess anything up by trying to actually play poker at work.

the games suck during the day anyways unless you get lucky and find a live one.

I prefer to stay busy doing other things, then play in the evening.

Network Engineer at the nations largest fiber to the home service provider. Seeing as Im the lead engineer and i design and implement the network, my biggest perk is a 100Mbps sychronous public internet connection. As a result, i can multi-table, surf FTR and do all sorts of other fun things.

P.S. as if that wasnt enough, 8" flat screen TV with full cable TV (we offer Cable TV, video over multicast IP, so i have to "monitor" the streams from time to time)

To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

Starcraft 2, Starcraft:Ghost, Diablo 3, Warcraft 4, Blizzard is sooo slacking. I think it's Fnord's fault. Cool job though.

As for work, as I've mentioned at other places, I'm a store manager for Gamestop.
This is a true story. I'm not a paid actor. FTR does not guarantee any results. People can and do lose money when playing poker.

Aren't there a couple of java based poker rooms (Pokerroom?) where you can play without downloading anything?

I also work at a cable company, but in New York. I work in the call center and sit in front a computer all day. I played at pokerroom once, but couldnt focus on it at all. I would always get calls in the middle of hands. Then my employer loosely banned gaming while on the clock. Oh well.

I am studying computer science and work part time at a retail store selling card games, board games, role-playing games and the like. I will stop in a couple of weeks cause I really need to get serious with my studies and because I play poker and the money I get from work doesnt really make a diffirence anymore.

No offense to you personally, Pizzaman, but, Jesus is Pap John's pizza bad.

The sauce is waaaay to sweet tasting. Probably my biggest beef with that pizza.

Although, I will say that I love the pepperoncini's!
