Obviously we have some gamers here. What games(s) are you currently playing.

Right now I'm working on MOH: Passific Assault.

I also have HL2 kinda on the back burner, I'm not done w/ it yet.

just reinstalled cs:source, just hop in when I get angry or dont feel like playing poker, feels good to shoot some 12 year olds. But until I can get a steadily growing and decent sized br (problem is I always want more..) then games arent a priority..

My gaming has taken a backseat to building a real BR and becoming a good player as fast as possible. I have HL2 but haven't installed it and dropped my WoW and CoH accounts as money sinks. I just wasn't playing. I rented Destroy All Humans but didn't get around to playing it before BB called and asked for their game back. I'm gonna have to rent it again though cause it looks damn fun. I will probably pick up City of Villians when it releases. Ah there are a few other releases I am looking forward to, but mostly consol games.

actually... rise of nations is a pretty good game.. good strategic elements, the single player is pretty easy but thier incorporation of real time boundry lines and supply lines makes for a very deep strategic game, atleast against a human opponent. As for c&c generals, I used to own that game, but it got boring to me. Strategy games just havent been the same since Starcraft, I was deadly at that game.

and Tim, please shut up already about games being a waste. If you feel that way, thats fine, but I think its just dumb. You sound like hilary clinton (stupid bitch). Playing starcraft for 3 or 4 years (yes THREE or FOUR) of my life has been very beneficial. I think things out in life in a logical progression a lot more then others I think. I can evaluate risks much better then a lot of people too. Also from 'twitch' games my hand eye coordination is really good. There have been lots of studies to show that gaming enhances all these skills and more. However those studies dont get the headlines, because that sorta news doesnt sell to the average 30+ person who just wants to hear "why wont someone think of the children!"

So unless you are going to back up to claims that video games are detremental to our lives, with something more then the fact that you suck at life, please shut up. kthxgg

Hey Tim,

Make sure you don't get into playing poker. It will ruin your life. You'll start losing money and keep going back for more to "make it back". Eventually you'll be borrowing money to play poker and you'll be in horrible debt because of your poker addiction.I WAS AT 5/10 STAKES WHEN I QUIT, AHH THE WORST 2 YEARS OF MY LIFE.

So, whatever you do, don't play poker. It will ruin your life.

One of my coworkers was playing that the other day...looked like a very straightforward hack 'n' slash. Co-op though, so if you got someone to play with it might be a bit more fun~

I put it on my modded xbox but I havent played it yet. My friend loved the first one and put 8 hours into the second the first day he got it (i modded his xbox too) You run around the game in a group of 4 xmen - u can press a button to switch to play any single one of em anytime you want and they all have their special abilities. Then you can press start and switch out the characters of ur main group of 4 if you dont like them. I think you probably have about 20-30 guys to choose from by the time your at the end - the basic gameplay is just like diablo style I guess you could say. You level up and everything and have to distribute skill and attribute points.

It's awesome. They pulled off putting two games in one very well. The empire-building resource-management game (world map) isn't as detailed as, say, Civ, but it's good enough to keep you busy. The battles though are the best part of it - the detail is amazing, and the gameplay of 'em is nice as well.

Only beef I have with it is the AI - it's easy to beat both on the campaign map and on the battles. But that's fine by me - I love winning.

That said, Civ4 is due out at the end of October (at least in the US, donno about Europe)...I doubt poker will see me for a while once that hits the shelves
