The wife and I will be going on a little road trip in a couple weeks after visiting some family in Salt Lake City.

Generally we'll be going from SLC to San Francisco, then up hwy 101 along the coast back home to WA, and camping as much as possible along the way. Neither of us is really the outdoors type, so it'll be easy camping, gotta have a good level spot for the tent, a firepit, a toilet within walking distance etc.

Does anyone have any ideas on places to camp or sights to see along the way? We don't mind taking a detour off our path if it's for something worthwhile. We won't be hitting Vegas though, so that's out.
