Anyone else think that the FTR Community forum is becoming a wasteland of toilet humor and NSFW posts? I bet FTR could really start gaining a bigger edge over it's competitors with tighter rules, especially in the community forum. It just seems like if someone comes to this site for the first time and doesn't realize a lot of what's said is a joke (especially in terms of racist-esque jokes and jokes offensive to homosexuals) that they will label this site as a whole as being filthy and offensive and will even recommend their friends to go somewhere else instead.
I was playing on PokerStars today and I noticed someone asking me if I was the same spoonitnow from FTR. When I replied yes, they said that they used to lurk here a lot, but stopped because they never knew when they would come across an offensive picture or post that their children might see when passing by the computer.
In my opinion, tightening up on a lot of rules on post content, especially in the community forum, is massively +EV for FTR.
Discuss.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

I'd have to agree. This is a poker forum, not a comedy act. Humor should absolutely not be tolerated, especially any that may target any certain group of people, persons, or animals. Humor that involved spiritual targets should be avoided at all costs as well.

Don't do this now.

Don't care for another long "look at how shitty FTR has become" started yet again by someone from the "IRC" crowd. Just not gonna happen right now.

Smithers, use the amnesia ray.
You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

Though, now that I read it, it seems to be going against what I expected.
I suspect this is trying to 2nd or 3rd level us...

Well... the Community is our off-off-topic forum. And our demographic (as is the online poker crowd) is predominantly the male college student. So I don't think there's any stopping it, though obviously, we don't condone it and it will be censored or moderated as we see fit.
Might as well put a big NSFW next to the Community forum name. If you just want to focus on poker, we have plenty of other great forums to choose from.
