Are all the new PC games playable only on Windows Vista?
I just got C&C: Tiberium Wars, but it won't load on XP because it requires Vista...

Is there any way around this, or do I have to bite the bullet and upgrade?

Vista makes me regret ever switching back from Macintosh to PC. I have learned my lesson...

So will I regret getting my new laptop with Vista pre-installed? I would have chosen XP but unfortunately this was not an option.

Yeah my laptop came like this too. I guess it's not that bad, I just don't like the sloppy feel MS programs.

hmmm...must be something else then. But the system requirements does say Vista is required.

I have a new computer with 256mb vid card, 2gb ram etc...maybe it's my shoddy built-in sound card...

This really wont help your situation, but iv played C&C3 on: 2 custom built computers, a Dell Desktop, and an IBM laptop. All were running XP.

If anything, update all your drivers. ALL your drivers.
