Indian weddings are absolutely the best. Two big things that threw me off:
1. They have no sense of punctuality whatsoever. If the invitation says you can show up at 10:00 and the ceremony will be at 11:00, that means people won't be showing up until 11:00, the ceremony will be at 12-ish, and people will still be wandering through partway through the ceremony.
2. When you're in "line" for food or drinks at the reception, you have to be in it to win it. There's no shame in taking a place closer to the bartender if someone gives you the opportunity to cut them off because someone else will if you won't, and they will most definitely do it to you.
