When gabe says "a few of us might be there" he really means there are already seven (maybe eight, I might be missing somone) confirmed, with more on the way.
Me, Gabe, Lukie, Trikflow, IowaSkinsFan, Massimo, Sauce123, maybe boost, and one name that slips my mind right now......
We're staying on The Strip, near the Bellagio.....June 20th to 24th. That's all we know now, more updates later.
(Bally's and The Flamingo have been thrown out there as possibilities for hotels)

Just wondering, what's the ID situation. ISF told me that the card rooms supposedly don't card... but that seems a little strange. Does anyone have experience with this? Will and ID of my older brother who looks kinda like me work?

The only casino I've been in, harrah's in new orleans, scanned my id, used a uv light, and a size scanner. I would think all casinos would be extremely tight.

I´ve talked to my brother about possibly going to vegas this summer, it will probably be july or august if we decide to go it isnt exactly around the block for us (sweden), do you have any suggestion on hotels and restaurants and such that is good and not super expensive ?

He is 100% correct, i was at harrahs in new orleans last weekend and they scanned, uv lighted, and put my id into a sizing thing before they let me in.
As far as vegas goes, Ive only been carded once or twice playing poker in las vegas, but I've been carded a TON of times playing blackjack, baccarat, pai gow, and other table games. Half the reason i think they card is you are sitting there drinking non stop and we all looked pretty young. They dont really look very hard at the ids though, so i would be confident with a fake.

I wasn't arguing about his experience in New Orleans because I've never been there, I was just saying that lots of cardrooms don't give a shit if you're underage. They take a quick glance at your ID and that's it.

I'll confirm, Harrah's in New Orleans is tough on IDs, Vegas is not. I can't remember ever getting carded at blackjack or craps tables in Vegas and I look young. Haven't been there since I started playing poker though.

ooohh.... I'll be there at the beginning of august for my wedding and honeymoon (finance's idea.... you can see why I'm marrying her )
Don't know if I could make it out there twice.
I couldn't hang with the limits and nitelife that you ballas will be freqentying. I'd be slumming the lower/middle limits and looking for happy-hour/bar specials anyway... lol.
But I'll be following the thread and keeping it in mind until the last minute. I'd applicate it if anyone that is organizing/leading this would keep me posted.
I'm definitely interested in getting out there another time this year since I don't think I will be playing much poker in August... doing the honeymoon thing (not that this is a bad thing... )
How many of you, that are already going, will be going are playing in Event #35 No-Limit Hold'em $1500 buy-in on the 21st?
