Online gambling is a big cheat and I have learned my lesson and will never play again. This bill should pass at least for regulation purposes. Eliminate off shore! A big cheat!

What's interesting about the comments to that article is that, with the exception of one concerned mom who says her 15-year-old son thinks poker is "easy money" (jackvance, is that YOUR mother?  ), the other people who talk about their hobby say that they lose money and are happy to budget for this.
Which is absolutely fine - no reason why we shouldn't pay to play poker like we'd pay to play golf or whatever - but I was amazed by the acceptance of their losingness! In a way, I can see this being a positive - no unrealistic expectations and they won't be punching their monitors, tilting time after time, and obsessing about moving up to higher levels etc.
