I'm having a game night with some friends every other week. We used to play Risk, then poker for a long time, recently we started with War On Terror, which is unfortunately poorly balanced and would need a lot of work to make it playable.
I'm looking for a solid strategy game with a reasonable luck factor.
'Go' would be perfect if you could make it work for 6+ players. - I'm looking into that right now.

Apples to Apples. I have had the most fun with this game on several occasions. It is simply the best.
Dicecapades is also very fun, but we've found that it needs a booster pack of the trivia/challenge cards.
Ticket to Ride is also fun.

Axis & Allies is goot. I think you can only play with max of 5 though. Make the 6th dude get drinks.

Unfortunately this is more of a sausage-fest kind of deal. I think we've tried settlers once. Can't remember why we didn't like it.
Cranium looks like fun. The guys I battle in Activity Professional should like this.
I remember Go For Broke used to be a lot of fun, but I haven't played in in 15 years. Everyone starts with 1 Million, and whoever is broke first wins. Unfortunately I don't think there's a lot of strategy to it.
