Just left Las Vegas National where I was Director of Instruction. Economy blows here, big time. I was sitting at the range giving very few lessons. Wife got a good job so I said screw it, and now just playing poker and playing a little Mr. Mom to my 10 year old daughter.
Its pretty sweet, drop her off at school, go play 18, pick her up from school, come home for while, play poker for 6 or 8 hours. Rinse and repeat.

Well that means im still a Baller, which I dont even think anymore. Though I am kinda living a slightly baller lifestyle with the above quote.
2005-2006 I was pretty close to being baller, though.
I remember having 80K+ in my Neteller account all from nothing. Playing nightly in the biggest tournaments online could offer.
UIGEA screwed me bigtime. Games got considerably harder, and all good players were condensed into just a couple of sites really. And the game changed to more agg, which made variance in the tournament game even higher. When pushing 15BB with q10s is +EV and calling with hands like kjo from the BB is +EV, your hands better win at showdown. Edges are so small now, you had better run at least decent.

Dave pretty much quit poker, at least playing for any sort of living. He and his wife had a baby about a year or so ago.
