don't forget about fitch/gono on the undercard
any sidebets that even if there's time, that fight doesn't get shown, even if fitch scores a first round TKO/Sub/KO? but if gono wins, i bet it gets shown 100% imo

I'll bet on that
you have gono+win+shown and I have all others options (i.e. shown if Fitch wins, not shown if there's no time, not shown in gono wins)

bonnar vs. jones fight was decent, I thought bonnar would pull it out late in round 2 or round 3 but he didn't...
not a big fan of the silva/machida fight so far, pretty badass how machida comes in and out and never gets hit, but it has been boring from an entertainment standpoint
holy fuck before I could hit send he knocks silva out wow

Machida never even gets hit. He is a monster. He will destroy whoever is champion.
Card would be better w/ less holding of back position without advancing or doing damage in various fights.
But it's worth it for Machida!

GSP was pounding the shit out of him as the 4th round ended. BJ Penn went to his corner, the Doctor looked at him. The doctor then walked away. The dude in BJs corner then called the doctor over and said 'stop it', at which point the fight was stopped.
At least that's what I saw on TV

nothing's really that crazy about it, as long as you saw rounds 2-3-4 where he got the shit beat out of him and couldn't do *anything* to GSP. maybe Penn got a few licks in on GSP in the first, but I don't recall much after that...
5th round would have just been another beatdown too, the way the fight went, good stoppage whoever did it.

I dunno, when people give up between rounds it just screams "hey I know I'm not gonna win so I'll just stop trying"
If you're gonna give up, tap to strikes like a man!

simply outsized. if GSP had a weakness, a smaller penn might be to able to exploit it. but without one, it wasnt going to happen.

GSP is just incredible, he pretty much takes control of every fight and sucks the life out of the other guy.
Machida fight was decent too, the guy seemed to have impeccable technique.
Also the way GSP described how his gameplan was clog the blood in Penn's shoulder so he couldnt move it as well just amazes me how fkin complex MMA is. RESPECT!
Watching these fights make me wanna get off my lazy ass and actually go to the gym more often

all of this, especially the last part. I always look at my wife (when we're both watching it) and say in a joking way, "I'm going to become an MMA fighter," knowing full well that will never happen because I don't think I want to ever get punched in the face (again).

I always watch these fights at the bars and everyone always gets so gay for GSP. All I hear is yelling, whistling and chanting of "G-S-P" at the bars. Then when he wins, they jump up and scream like it was a big surprise underdog coming back for the win.

You're just too used to watching the Canucks play. People cheers for their teams/athletes that were supposed to win as well.

I guess so but I think it's more of a bandwagon thing than anything else. They just cheer for the guy with the perfect record over the guy representing their own country. Not that hometown is a big deal in the UFC like it is in other sports but it's gotta be a bandwagon thing.

I see your point and its true in a lot of cases but i think in GSP's case its a little different cuz I think people can relate to him. Hes a guy that had to work for everything he has. He was a garbage man FFS so he doesnt act like hes better than anyone else. Plus hes a well rounded likeable fighter that gives 100% effort.

Was he really? That's badass.
I definitely don't have anything against the guy. I imagine that he's a single-minded training machine 24/7. His technique while fighting is ridiculously crisp - it looks like he's giving a seminar when he fights.
I root for him when he fights other people. But watching Penn lose like that was like watching a good friend lose a fair barfight. Then with everyone pissing themselves silly when GSP won really rubbed it in.

Well BJ did go overboard with the im going to kill him stuff imo. He also said that GSP was going to think he was god so you cant blame people for wanting to see him get his ass kicked.
