Okay so basically here's the history behind this shit. There were two indians, a dude and a chick all like omfg let's make babies but one was from the Cherokee indian peeps and the other was from the Catawba indian peeps so it was like omfg we're not supposed to be banging. (Edit: Variance = I'm basically half Cherokee.) So the dude was like k fuck this I'm outtie and jumped off the side of this cliff and the chick was like OMFG NOES but the wind (thus the name Blowing Rock) blew him back up the cliff to where the chick was. Cheesy story but w/e it's like 20 min from App State in Boone which is like an hour from my gf's house and she was all omfg I want to go there.
It was a lot better than I expected. I bought a lot of those rock candy suckers in the gift shop (omfg they are good) and made fun of yankee tourists. Also there were constantly a few kids inches away from a Darwin award the whole time, which more than entertains a guy like me. The view was pretty balla even if it only cost like $5 to walk around and shit.
Note: I fixed the links to these thumbnails to just go straight to the picture itself instead of imageshack's stupid viewing page with ads and whatnot.

Pics above: The sign as we were pulling out, a view, a view.

Pics above: The actual "Blowing Rock", a view, a view.

Pics above: I look gay in this pic, a view, some rocks kids kept playing on and almost falling off, causing me to lol uncontrollably.
I cannot stress this enough. In the last picture, there were kids who *almost* fell off of that continuously over and over and over again and I was just sitting there like omg do it you little shits even though that would be horrible. I wouldn't feel too bad though, since the little bastards' parents were standing like RIGHT THERE watching them almost fall off.
Edit: I just noticed that in the picture it doesn't look that high up, and it's not from the right side of the pic, but to the left there's about a 3 story drop to the little walking trail that goes around under it and I approximate that a falling kid would have a 50/50 chance at landing on the trail side of the guard rail or landing on the other side and falling endlessly down the side of the cliff like Chris Farley used to do.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

Spoon!
You're from W-S? Damn, I took my Husker posse of about 75 there when Nebraska played Wake. We took over that biker bar, Pure Chrome after the game and got totally wasted. The nite before, we got our drink on at Fox and Hound then finished up at Foothills Brewing. Ate the best BBQ at Little Richards too. Yeah, we partied in W-S.
