I didn't really want to start another thread for this, but there's absolutely no doubt that we are going to need it. PLEASE keep the two worlds seperate, and keep all world 1 communication in the other thread. If we don't, it will get very confusing very quickly.
Alright, that said, World 2 opens up tomorrow, Sat July 22nd at 8:00am EST, or 14:00 tribalwars server time. I'm going to be up around 10:00 or so to sign up, and I think it's a good idea to sign up at similar times, but feel free to do it before or after. I don't really know how the spacing is going to be, to be honest, but we will definately be much closer then we are in world 1, where many of us are very far apart.
As far as the tribe goes, if nobody has started it when I sign up, I will start it. I'm hoping we can get a very large group of FTRers into the game so we can work together, but regardless, we will be too weak if we don't recruit other active players. But at the same time I don't want to be some massive tribe with a bunch of weak players and poor organization. There has to be a good balance.
As far as basic strategy goes, I covered the basics in the other thread, but for now, keep this in mind: when you start off, concentrate on timber and clay production. Those are the most important things at the start. Once I see how the game dynamics shape up in the 2nd world I'll try to post some more detailed pointers, especially as we start progressing through the game. My village in the first world is up over 1,000 points, and I'm starting to make a serious run at teching towards a nobleman, so I've got a good idea about how the game works.

the rush doesnt matter. the world begins as a spiral at the center so we are closest if we all join at the start. Even if it goes around the spiral a few times between players you will still be close.

I woke up at 8:30 on the brink of falling back asleep. I checked my phone (alarm was set for 8), and the alarm was turned off. I never remember it going off. There's also a 0% chance I'd wake up this early on my own.

Jesus, I'm back to being a newb. And I when I started world 1, some of the resource buildings were already partially upgraded (I think?). I'm probably going to have to bump iron a few more times then I had anticipated.

im guessing they only started us with more upgrades in world 1 because we joined so late so the game wouldnt have such a slow start. Theres only about 900 people that have joined so far so we should have a decent advantage.

Good news. We have an ally. A little while after I joined this game I noticed I had an invite from a tribe called {LoLA}
They seemed pretty huge and friendly so we have agreed to be allies

I think this is a good idea. Then later on we can boot those that we don't like or that aren't active, but we want to gobble up some good players before they have a chance to join another tribe.

yeah i think we still get 5 day beginner protection (not 100% sure, but close), but since there arent any established players, it's not really as necessary.

I have made all FTR members Barons apart from Lukie who is a Duke since he will lead us.
You should now be able to invite your stronger neighbours by clicking on their tribe, and then clicking on their player name and clicking invite to tribe.

you have to be a duke or a baron.
Somebody asked what the difference is, and to be honest, I'm not 100% sure. Duke is the higher level though, and can do a few things that a baron can't. A baron can still invite new people though.

Where did you read this? Destiny has a lot more then this, although it's very possible they could have changed it for world 2.
