Well i figured rather to replying to several posts I would just start a new one. First off, thank you everyone for your congratulations and your support. I was able to see the rail up to the final three tables and then for some reason i couldn't get my observer chat to stay working, I think there was a glitch in my Stars software, fixing it wasnt on the top of my priority list tho, lol. I can honestly say that this was a dream come true. This was the fifth time I played this tourney and the first time I have ever even made the money. As some of you know I had been running horrible the last couple of months and as of Sunday morning my 2006 profit was right around $0. As you can imagine for someone who plays this for a living, this has been a tough year. I had pulled a 14 hour session saturday night playing some of my best poker and went to bed around 10 am EST on sunday morning after being down almost $700. I went to bed angry, frustrated, and wondering if any of my hard work was ever gonna pay off. Variance has a sick sense of humour lol. My girlfriend woke me up around 3:15, I took a shower, ordered some pizza and was still exhausted by the time the tourney started. The next 8+ hours of my life were some of the most gut-wrenching, emotional hours I have ever put in. When i first shot up to about 16k in chips during the 2nd hour, I started thinking, well, maybe i'll actually cash this tournament for once. Once i made the money rather easily I actually started to believe something bigger could come of this. I can say that I do know the exact moment where I knew I could go to the end. When I made the allin call with TT, it was a very critical moment. I was talking to muxy about this yesterday, as he has railed alot of tournaments i have been deep in the last couple months. The typical comments during that situation for the last couple months have been "nice flop....hold.....good turn......HOLD.....HOLD....%^&%^&^^&&^*&FUCKME^*&^ &^&!" I'll admit in the last couple months I've made the mistake of actually expecting the Ace to hit on the river. When the T hit this time, I can't even describe the feeling. I didn't yell, i didn't jump up, I didn't move actually, I just sat there in silence containing an adrenaline rush inside of me that wanted to explode. I knew at the moment where I was going. When i lost the JJ to AQ, i knew I was coming back. Everytime i pushed, i expected to win the hand. Its amazing how that simple mental click seems to change things. I can honestly say if that mindset change hadn't occured I wouldn't have made it where I did. Yes I got lucky a few times, yes I ran good, but I am now a firm believer that the mindset you take into poker affects your play and your results in a way none of us may ever understand.

A couple other things...Some people have requested that I post the HH from this tourney, which I have no problem in doing. I plan on getting ahold of Xianti soon and figuring out the best way to post the ~650 hands from the tourney. Also, several people have asked what I plan on doing from here. Well, for starters i'm already working on paying off all of my bills and debts and moving out of this hole in the wall apartment to a nicer place with more space. I had been planning a trip with Doggz and Bmxicle to the Bahamas in May for the Paradise Conquest tournament which is now definetely going to happen. As far as poker goes, this is just the beginning. Most of the money is simply staying in my bankroll and I know have the ability to play the tourneys I actually want to play. I've been working with Doggz on building up my cash game skills and believe it or not I actually plan on starting as low as 50NL to develop the skills i'll need to play higher stakes. (Talk about overrolled lol). In summary, it has been a little over 8 months since I started playing poker seriously. In those 8 months I have experienced both the highs, lows, and now the ultimate high of this lifestyle. Ironically, I was talking to my mom last week and she asked me "is all this stress you put yourself through really worth it?" Well the answer is yes. Would I go through 3 break even months again for one day like this last Sunday.....you bet your ass I would. Poker has changed my life for the better in so many ways. FTR has been a large influence in that change and I thank all of you for that. Thank you all once again for your support and congratulations and good luck to everyone.

P.S. I WON 90 GRAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very nice job, lambchop! Congratulations.

As for your tournament history, send a PM to JeffreyGB and ask if he can help. Not sure if he's ready yet.

Congrats man, cant imagine the feeling of winning that much money.

Redemption for an even 3 months must feel great.

The biggest thing is it seems like this didnt give you an ego. Knowing you still have a lot of work to do at cash game instead of sitting at high stakes you are gona play properly.

Lambchop, I'm just curious, why do you want to improve your cash game skills when your mtt skills are clearly top-notch? Why not stick to your bread and butter and continue to rake in the dough? Do you think learning cash games will improve your mtt game? (I'm curious to know if the reverse is true, since I play cash games almost exlusively)

PS. Congrats! That's a sh*tload of money!!!

Congratulations Lambchop!!

I've won a couple of MTTs for considerably less cash and the feeling was fantastic.
I can't imagine what winning that kind of cash must feel like.

gg sir.
