Im going to plan a trip over there in feb for 3-4 weeks, anyone been? Just looking for general info. Anyone want to go?

my gf likes girls so that isnt a problem if i did decide to bring her.
trip, i have read that thread, a long time ago.
I would fjy into bbk and then travel around to the islands, i just need a break pretty soon and it seems like a fun place to kill a month.

Bangkok's a congested mess. Way too crowded for my taste. I suppose you need to check it out, but a day was enough for me. Phuket is awesome, as well as the other beaches around and near Phuket. Check out Kristin Massage. I think it survived the tsunami.
It's usually not very hard to spot the ladyboys. They often wear too much make-up (like drag queens). A lot of them have their Adam's Apples surgically trimmed down, so if in doubt, look at the person's hands. Some guys have small hands, though. If you're about to hook up with one and you're still not sure, just ask. Girls usually won't get offended and the ladyboys basically have to tell you or they could get pummeled if they lie to the wrong man.

im not going to stay in bbk for long, maybe like 2-3 nights. Phuket is a must for me,I really just want to lounge around on the beaches for a few weeks. Also not super intersted in the hookers, but you never know whats going to come up. Ty for the advice x man.

I'll likely be in Thailand (ideally living in a guesthouse/cheap motel in Chiang Mai) in either late February or early March, flying in from Tokyo. I prefer the freedoms that traveling alone presents though, so unless you have some sick housing deal I'm not interested in living with someone I've never met (although you do seem harmless). A few of my friends are thinking of flying out there next summer, have a feeling they're gonna flake though as they're not very motivated people.
I plan on spending a few months hopping between Thailand (don't want to spend too long actually, probably stay long enough to get acclimated before heading south to)/Philippines/Indonesia (Bali, Java, Sumatra)/Macao if the NL hold'em scene picks up). Looking forward to doing a lot of hiking, improving my photography skills, staying away from drugs and drink and generally living healthy, gonna try to be flexible with my plans instead of following some rigorous schedule and see what opportunities presents itself.
