Hello.

I have a 22" widescreen TFT monitor, and to be very honest its bigger than the TV in my room, so I'd rather use this to play PS3 on than my rubbish 21" square TV.

Is it possible for there to be a way of connecting my PS3 to this monitor?

Thanks in advance.

meh, i dont think you can as is. I know you can buy a TV tuner for most digital flat panels monitors these days, so i would assume you could get component video hookup someone.

kevster will become famous soon enough
Yeah, somewhere like Maplins will sell you a piece of hardware that will take RGB leads as input and VGA/DVI cables as output. Should be relatively expensive.

Small disclaimer - you may not get the quality you hope for.

Hmm looks like there is the potential for me to break stuff, so I think I'll stick to my old TV.

Thanks for the help gents.

uh I just looked at the link out of curiosity but it looks like theres literally 2 things you need to do, none of which involve breaking anything...

Quote:
Simply get hold of a HDMI/DVI cable and stick the ends into the corresponding holes of your monitor and PS3.
When you turn on your PS3 hold the PS button down to make your PS3 automatically detect output settings, that's it!
You can pretty much skip to the bottom of the guide about sound now.
then plug sound into your comp speakers...

this is exactly what I thought when I read the OP, then I got really confused by the following responses. Your monitor should def have a hdmi hookup and your ps3 has hdmi output. Whats the problem?
