Hey guys, I'm not sure who ran this league last year but I'll set it up. The buy in will be $20. Most of you are familiar with how these work I'm sure but you pick one NFL team per week that you think will win their game. If the team you pick loses during a given week, you're out, done, busto. You can't pick a team more than one time during the regular season. The last remaining person wins. If there is more than one person alive at the end of the regular season, this will continue throughout the playoffs (team restrictions reset in the playoffs). If more than one person is alive at the end of the playoffs, then these people will split the money, otherwise the payout will be winner-take-all.

uhmm 6 people are actually in the yahoo group right now but I'm not sure on the exact number
ensign_lee, are you "JC" in the yahoo group or is that someone else?
I think I'm going to move this to 2 strikes regardless of the number of people unless there is a huge uproar about it.

2 strikes seems good bob. i've never played a survivor league, but i cant imagine that there are ever more than 2 people left at the end of the regular season.

I'm cool with 2 strikes. Instead of 1/2 the field gone in 3 weeks we'll have more play. Maybe split the pool, $40 to the last person to get one strike, and the rest to the overall winner (which will likely be the same person?)

I think the majority want 2, however if there is a tie at the end of the NFL playoffs, then the number of strikes will be used as a tie breaker. So say 2 players survive all the way but one lost a strike along the way. The other player gets all the money.

nevermind, I was wrong
The deadline is Sunday at 1pm, however if you want to pick the Vikings/Saints game tomorrow, your pick has to be in before that game. If you don't pick that game which I doubt anyone will, you can still make a pick up until Sunday at 1 pm EST. Note that if you want to pick a Monday Night game, you still have to pick before Sunday at 1pm.
