I got it yesterday and I love it. I've been working on unlocking shit so far and have only tried to play online once. It didn't work but I'll give it a lot more effort later this week.

yup it's a wii game. Have you ever played the gamecube version? They're really similar.

Nintendo's online is awful, to be honest. If you try to fight someone random, it's almost impossible to connect. Seems like friend codes is the only way to get anything decent going , and even their friend code system is really terrible. Furthermore, there isn't even a way to communicate with your 'friends' when you're logged in on the WiFi - you've gotta use AIM/MSN/phone to talk to anyone if you're trying to set something up.

played it tons. There is nothing earth shattering new awesome that it must be bought omg right now, but its worth having. Bunch of new characters and all of them have a new super smash attack.

first game to make me actually want a wii. looks freakin amazing. although the online component is a huge deal to me so if nintendo's online service sucks then that's a big downside. does everyone agree that it sucks?

ike's my fav vs computers, marth vs players (cause he's faster)... metaknight and pit are both solid, fairly ballin... i personally suck with wario, and toon-link is my fav for having fun... courtie, MSN me and ill play you anytime online

If you don't mind searching out friend codes, it's not that bad. If you have a good connection, the brawls are pretty good. Finding someone random to fight has also gotten much better over the last few days and there hasn't been much lag recently.

have you done that really dumb two player event with metaknight and pit where you have to kill a bunch of yoshis? i can't pass it on the hard setting and it's because metaknight sucks at killing stuff. the only time i can kill a yoshi in one hit is if i have enough time to charge a smash or if i hit one in the air (which is hard because the damn things move around so much)

pit is sick, sick, sick. marth got toned down quite a bit in this game.
my faves=falco and lucario. falco got better.

bob - you have to ask for the fpps. i emailed them like a month ago and asked them wtf the deal was, and i think they sent me that exact email. then i emailed them this, and they gave me 5,600 fpps:
Hi, my name is will641 on PokerStars. I ordered a Wii back in late January and still haven't received it. When I purchased it, it said allow 4-6 weeks for delivery. It has now been about 9 weeks. I understand you have some issues with the supply of them, but even still it says 4-6 weeks, and I think I am entitled to some sort of compensation for how long this is taking. I play a lot on your site. I am almost at Supernova and its only March, so you know that I will be around for a while. I think that an 8,000 fpp discount would be appropriate. It is essentially a 25% discount, which I think is very reasonable.

finally got my wii today, after about 2 months of waiting, and i spent appx. 7 hours playing wii sports, metroid 3, and smash brawl. i havent even started on zelda which was the other game i bought. how is nba live '08 on the wii?
maybe i just suck, but i find metroid actually hard. i guess its mainly cause i never really got into fps's
