Wow. I've lived nearly 4 decades on this planet and got within 100 meters of a tornado, survived a 2-day blizzard and seen some crazy shit, but the hail storm tonight sounded like an avalanche was landing on our roof. I went out, got drenched, and picked up 4 of the mothers.
They were bigger than golf balls, nearly tennis ball size. Jeez. I've got 4 in the freezer to show my wife when she's done cringing in the back room of the grocery store with 100 others who got caught out.
Tornadoes in the area, so the kids and I are in the basement, waiting for the inevitable power outage (so if you're seeing this...we're OK for now!!)

Nice!
Had a tornado touch down in the woods less than 500 yards back from my house when I was 6 or 7. Crazy shit plus new football field for me and my buddies.

I say onto you, I've felt the dragon! I felt the touch of his tail, the breath of his fire, and I know without a shadow of a doubt that the dragon exists!

I live in Middle Tennessee, where it got pretty bad at times with multiple tornadoes touching down. I actually ended up leaving my apartment in Murfreesboro while it was still pretty clear out, and I hadn't heard anything on the radio. Probably 10 minutes into my 1 hour drive back to my parents house, it started getting pretty bad. The rain was really coming down, hail, and some pretty strong winds. Multiple cars were parked under underpasses in an attempt to avoid the hail. My crazy/dumb/stupid 21 year old invincible ass decided to keep pressing forward. Made it back perfectly fine.
However, while watching the news when I got to my parents (little to no rain here), I found out that a tornado passed across the interstate I was on like 20 minutes after I went through. There was also considerable damage back near my university with 2 deaths. I have heard those deaths occurred on the interstate when the tornado touched down and crossed the highway, but I'm uncertain.
Either way, crazy stuff.

Stacks, are you talking about the storm that blew through a few days ago? I heard that tornado went down the interstate tossing cars around like a 4 yo with matchbox toys? That was a pretty rough one (although my area didn't get too much, I live in SC KY).
