so last night my friends and I were looking for a movie, and we picked this this one.
has anyone else seen it? its entertaining but kinda bad. its about this guy who wants to take over and be rich, so five minutes into the movie, he takes over half of philadelphia, and starts to kill lots of people with his gang. he also shoots one of his friends in the hand for not rolling him a joint, which was funny.

As a rule, any movie starring a rapper, in which the title of the movie is not named "Friday" is gonna suck.
There are exceptions, and you might miss one or two worthwhile flicks here, but as a general rule, I've just saved you a lot of pain. You're welcome.
Note: The above does not apply to cameos. Mainly just to starring roles.

Ice-T has done well in his roles. Will smith is A-list. DMX is a great actor. Eminem did especially well in 8 mile. There were some good performances in the movie "You got served" by a couple rap artists. LL-Cool J isn't a terrible actor.

I have to generally disagree. Ice-T has never impressed me much in movies. DMX is as formulaic as it gets. Can't argue with Will Smith. I classify him more as an actor who raps, rather than a rapper who acts, but I'll concede the point. 8 mile was alright, I guess. I wouldn't call it great, but it was an okay way to blow some time.

You're probably right on this. Ice-T has almost no acting range. He's always the same character. He's always a pimp. Whenever you need a pimp, Ice-T is your man. Even on Law and Order, it's like they grabbed a pimp and made him into a detective. He's been a pimp in the army, a pimp leading an underground rebel force, a pimp flying a space ship. One time they even made him a pimp playing a pimp. He was real good in that one.
I don't know when they're going to realize Ice-T will always be a pimp playing various roles. He'll always have that instinct to tame the bitches so they can start earning.
He was good in Surviving the Game though. You gotta admit. That's the one where it was pimp hunting season, and he was being chased around the wilderness by pimp hungry rednecks. Nothing like watching a bunch of rednecks try to chase down a pimp and get Pwned. You can't hunt down a pimp playa. He's nothing but street motherfker.

Sneakers a fun little movie that always entertains.
The Last Boyscout - So many great quotes, it makes me want to watch this movie right now. "I think I fucked a squirrel to death last night." Or when he's tied up by the bad guys, he gets a cig. "Can I get a light?" "Yah, sure. *Bends over, puts light just out of reach. Hallenbauch sticks his head out and WHAM punched right in the face.* "I need another cigarrette." "... can i get a light. and if you touch me again, im gonna fucking kill you." *same jive happens, and he gets punced again* then (details are a bit fuzzy) Hallenbauch frees a hand and punches the guys nose through his brain or some shit and he falls down dead. Or the scene where some limo is transporting a suitcase bomb, they're trying to pull them over so a guy draws a bomb "Drive up next to em!" "What is that?" "It's a bomb" "No, its an apple with some lines commin out of it. STOP you're transporting fresh fruit!" *He writes BOM on it puts it up to the window, guy sees it, grabs his gun and shoots it. I think The Last Boy Scout is an excellent movie and I'd like to see another Joe Hallenbeck (sp?) movie.
