Allrighty. It's the end of the regular season. Wow. Every season seems to go by quicker and quicker.

Normally, I don't advocate betting much, if at all, in week 17 of the NFl just because there are so many unknowns, but I did find a game that I liked a lot this week.

Minnesota -1, -1.5 or M/L (depending on what gives the best odds for the risk I'm taking in the morning)
5 units

Minnesota started off as a favorite, then moved to an underdog to St. Louis on public money. At first, I loved St. Louis as an underdog here, but apparently so did a lot of other people.

This'll be my big wager to finish off the season before the playoffs and will be my make or break game of the final week.

As for smaller bets, I like
KC -2 (-105)
2 units at Skybook

Jags are a terrible road team, just terrible. Add in the fact that a lot of stuff has to happen for them to get into the playoffs and I see a desperate team pressing and taking unneccessary risks.

And this is at Arrowhead in December (although last time I used this reasoning, KC got killed by BAL. Eeep). I think the Chiefs still have enough charisma and talent to finish off the Jags here.

Plus, I hate the Jaguars, being a Texans fan.

~~~
On a side note, wtf Texans line? WTF public? Why are you betting on the Texans? You're supposed to be doing the freaking OPPOSITE...
I don't wanna lose the game tomorrow...
I'm getting these games in now because I'm off to the Texans game to kick off the last day of 2006. After which, I go to the Rockets game. After which, I think I'm going to a home game of poker to finish out the year. Here's hoping to a fun tomorrow...and a Texans a victory .
So sorry if I can't answer y'all's questions right off today. I'll try to if I can get back in time and have access to a computer. I'll post the line I get on Minnesota later when I get the chance, but for y'all, if you choose to follow me, just get the best line available to you. I'm thinking +110 on the moneyline would be sweet. Or +117 or so at -1 or -1.5.
Any thoughts on Miami +9.0 or +9.5? I'm thinking of putting 1 unit on it.
I agreed with you in not betting week 17, i stayed away from it as far as i could. Although I saw value in betting on greenbay but never took it.
Yeah. I guess I should have held beack.
But it was just so tasty... 70+% of the public, pinny lean, holding -1 while everyone else had -1.5, favorite crossed to 0...
But oh well. It happens. Given the info, I'd make the losing bet again. On to the playoffs!
