This thread won't be a very active thread. I'll only post in it from time to time (hopefully) when I see a nearly perfect situation.

Dec. 5th
Washington State University Moneyline (+118)
2 units

The public is on this high profile basketball game, siding with Gonzaga at a clip of 4:1. Meanwhile, the line moves from -3.5 to -2 or -1.5, depending on your sportsbook.

This looks like a sandwich game, with Gonaga fresh off a victory over my poor longhorns and looking ahead to a ranked opponent. Teams often come out flat in these instances, historically (or so I've heard from other cappers ).

This is enough to warrant a 2 unit play from me.

Holy crap the public loves Gonzaga. Yet the line went from Gonzaga -1.5 to Gonzaga +1.5 (or 1, depending on your book). WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

70+% of the public is on Gonzaga. This makes no damn sense for the line to move freaking 3 points in the opposite direction. WAH?!?!?!?!?!

The only thing I don't like about this bet all that much is that it crossed 0. But 3.5 points in the wrong direction. Hmm....

Georgia -1 (-105)
2 units

70-75% of the public is on Ohio State, yet the line went from -10 to -8. Huh...

Didn't catch this before tipoff, but am throwing my money in at halftime.

Currently, Indiana is down by 6.

I took:

Indiana +3.5 (-105)
2 units at BetTrojan

For some reason, BetTrojan is offering this at +3.5 while everyone else has +3. I'll gladly take the free half point + reduced juice to essentially give me Indiana +9.5 for the game at (-105).

Go Indiana?

*Side note: I think it's wierd that Pinnacle isn't offering a second half line on this game

This one was a little closer than I really wanted it to be, but I'm happy it turned out well.

Yay NCAA Basketball!

One play tonight. Let's see how it does.

Fordham +6 vs. Xavier (-105)
2 units at BetTrojan

Line started out at +6.5 and has gone to +6, with a +5.5 at BetCascade (still seeing if their 'lean' is something I should follow. They're supposed to be sharp). Just around 80% of the public is on Xavier.

Two units here.

Inspired by bigspenda, I went hunting for ML prices on Fordham.

At matchbook, after commission, I can still get 17 cents better than most books and 10 cents better than Pinnacle. Looks like a little value to me.

Adding:
Fordham Moneyline
1 unit at Matchbook

Of coures, now that I've done this...Fordham's probably screwed...
