So here's a screenshot of my layout since everyone was all omfg over it:

Also, the link goes straight to the image instead of that gay imageshack page.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

I honestly have no clue how I'm beating 200nl. I constantly feel like I'm missing something, but I'm doing alright so I guess I'll keep it up.

Heh, this is very true to an extent.

The first week of this year, I sucked it up and put in about 30k hands. I'd have to average at least that much the entire year, and that's a lot more than I'm used to.

The last week? About 3k hands. And I'm down a lot.. 10 buyins, easy.

Renton and I talked about SNE for a while a couple weeks ago, and if my memory still works, you got like $20k in free bonuses (after figuring out the loss of FPP's you need to clear them... was like $28k? in bonuses and cost about $8k? in fpp's to clear them or something), 2 big tourney packages, and 400% FPP bonus instead of 250% for the next year.

So obviously, the rewards are nice, but it's just sooooooo many hands. I can't even keep up right now, and historically, the winter has been when I put a lot of hands in. Once summer hits, I usually don't play a whole lot. I think that's going to have to change this year.

Well I'm running like 2.5 ptbb/100 or so at 200nl getting about 1000 hands/hour, so I figure play hard this year and fuck off until I finish school post-2008.

Also get an AHK betting script if you don't already have one so you don't have to type your bets.

I can vouch for AHK scripts. {click middle mouse button} = raise pot preflop. Saves me from having to do it a couple hundred times an hour.

I spent 1K on a new computer & monitors last summer and I'm pretty sure it's already paid for itself by me not misclicking.

Edit: Just saw you said you're getting one so ignore me.

Well I'm done for the day.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm considering a 30" though because it would possibly double as a TV in my future bedroom I think. Me and my girl play Nintendo and shit on the computer all of the time so I figured it would be good for that from the bed too.

Thinking outloud here.

consider this.

30" display for computer is not the same as a 30" media display

display for the computer (30") resolution = 2560x1600 or so and you need a special type of videocard to run this in all its glory,
display for media lcd tv (26"+)= 720p (1280x720), (40"+) 1080p/i (1920x1080)

specs differ, and you may find yourself fucked up down the road.

Just an FYI.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

Well it was supposed to be the FTR spade logo thing but I've got this new laser mouse and I think I'm not supposed to use it on a cloth pad because it's acting kind of weird. Or maybe I just don't have something set right, I don't know.

So I'm back at the tables this morning. What it do?

After 2500 hands I'm up like 800-830. Last hand flopped KK v QQ on Q77 for like a $250 loss.

Spoon,

What resolution are you using and do you have all 16 tables on one 17" monitor as pictured?

1152x864 pixels and yes I do have all 16 (now 18) tables on one monitor sort of as pictured. There's no gap in the middle but that's how I lay them out. I suck at drawing to scale.

You mean having monitors so big that you have to move your desk away from the wall a foot so that they fit on the motherfucker is a bad thing?
