the time has come for me to make a decision on whether to stay in austin or move back to iowa. there are positives and negatives to both. here i have to pay $62 a month for these fags to "supervise" me on probation, and i have to go to all these stupid AA classes and shit. however, i get all the benefits of living in a city like all sorts of food, and stuff to do at night. also i know like nobody here, but if i stay ill register for a couple classes at a community college to meet people. also perhaps the biggest thing is i wont be harassed by cops here.
in fairfield, ia, i have a lot of friends and normally have fun when im there. also its a lower cost of living, + i have a few good friends that play 1knl +, so it obv makes a lot of sense for playing poker. however, the cops know me and hate me (town of 10k) and will fuck with me given the opportunity. i cant afford to get in more trouble on probation, or else i will be fucked with a felony. if that happened i basically condemn myself to being a pro poker player.
basically i have to make my decision in the next couple days, and im just not sure what i want. im thinking of just flipping a coin.

First of all, you need to get your act together regarding the law. If you can maintain some discipline and just act like a normal human being in this small town, you won't have any problems there. If you see a cop that recognizes you, smile and nod your head.
If you move to IA, you can, for the most part, put the AA thing behind you. I think you would much rather live with people you are comfortable with, doing what you love to do as much as possible (poker), and live a simple life in the small city.
I think it'd be best for you (after reading up on a very little bit of it in this thread), just live the simple life, make tons of monies.

yeah i was going to, then i found out i dont qualify for the tax district tuition cost, so instead of like $500 it'll be like $2700. the city taxes everyone in the district to support the school, and my dad has been paying that shit for like over 12 years. unfortunately i dont qualify since ive only been living here 10-11 months, and 12 months makes you a texas resident. so for this reason im starting to lean back to iowa.
