i have a gf for about two years now, but it isn´t running that well between us the last months. there´s this other girl, who´s really into me, but my best friend is really into her, which squares my problem.

I think leaving her for the our entertainment is exactly the answer ur looking for...
Def better than something along the lines of communicating with her that u 2 are having problems and asking if she intends to continue the relationship, and what it's going to take from both parties to do so if that's the case.
