Okay im just so confused about this right now im seeing what the commune thinks.
I use to have sex with my ex without a condom sometimes using withdrawl method, but then she told me that my precum has semen in it and she can get pregnant. I looked it up briefly and saw that she was right so I stopped and made sure all my friends knew this too.
Recently, I looked that up again and found that there's research that says that there is no semen in precum. The only way you can get preggers (lol) from the withdrawl method is if the precum carries semen from a previous ejaculation. However, that semen is completely removed from your penis when you urinate.
I'm just wondering what peoples experience with this is and if there's any more research they can point me too. Obv i dont want to get an STD and am going to use a condom most of the time, but if its with someone i know is clean but isnt on birth control i would like not to.
Im sure a question is going to be are you willing to risk pregnancy. My answer is no unless its the same or lower than the risk if u use a condom.

Not sure what websites you checked, but as far as I know you can have kiddos just from precum.
Just wrap it up. If you don't, be ready to deal with the consequences or hope that you're lucky (thankfully I was lucky throughout my entire "career," lol).
Now I'm married, my wife is on birth control *and* we still use condoms (most of the time). With her in school we really don't want to get pregnant right now, so the safer the better.
And yes I did just say "we."

P.S. My wife says that precum has cum in it. Not a lot, as compared to your actual full load, but there is some. So you can get pregnant from it, but the chance is just like 90% less than a full load.
(P.S. She's worked in a hospital for six years and is in nursing school right now, so she knows a thing or two. She's not an expert, but that should help)

Lol ISF you are an irresponsible idiot if you even consider this as a form of contraception. Doubly so if you'd do it with someone you don't know well (not just for the STD risk - and unless she's a bona fide virgin the odds of you "knowing" she's clean are tiny - but also because, hey, impregnating someone you're not in a strong relationship with is a pretty undesirable outcome of 2 minutes of marginally improved pleasure).

If you've been reading some dumb study I suggest you read over the part where it talks about pissing. It refers to having sex AGAIN in the same night. This does not mean that the the first time you had sex that night the pre-cum contains no sperm - it means the second time to reduc ethe risk you should piss to remove the sperm...but still there is a risk from precum

I'm not going to escalate this thread. But I'd like to point out I don't understand why people are berating me for being dumb. All its doing is making me feel animosity towards the posters who pointed this out. Although I think you're right it was dumb, the month that i did it i felt so stressed out that she was pregnant I never did it ever again.

Apparently some people have forgotten what it's like to be young. ISF, you'll be the first to admit that it wasn't the smartest thing you've ever done.....but trust me, plenty of guys on here have "been there and done that," and just about everyone has done something they probably regret in their lifetime.
Just make sure you learn from your mistake and be thankful that you won't have a little one running around nine months from now.

Withdrawal is 19% failure normal use, 4% failure perfect use.
Contrary to popular belief, condoms are not much more effective.

Don't gamble with having a kid before you're ready. Get the girlfriend on birth control of some sort ASAP and it would probably be a good idea to find out where you stand on abortion and such.
That said, I think the failure rate on condoms is vastly over-estimated. Too many people are too dishonest/stupid and the 2% number is over a period of time and not each time you have sex.

I agree with Fnord though, but understand the 2% isnt "a 2% chance on everytime u have sex" It's a 2% chance you get pregnant in a given year for couples having sex regularly.

Sorry ISF, I realise that your question is serious. I believe it's not a great method of birth control mate, but at the right time of the month when your woman is less fertile you should(??) be ok.
I read a couple of things that said an average failure rate of about 19%, seems pretty high so I'd say you're at a pretty good risk of pregnancy.

I use condoms every time.
Too many of my friends got their ladies preggo at an early age. She said she was on the pill... is what I'd always hear. I say to hell with not wearing a condon, just in case you know? I don't find the risk rewarding enough without it.
I keep a clotheshanger near my bed at all times just in case.

You seriously answered your own question here. There's no way you're going to get a correct answer that says pulling out > condom.
Use condom every time with randoms.
When you're in a relationship, you're in a position to discuss your stance on birth control, abortion, etc. and that changes the game a bit.
The worst thing that can happen is having kids with someone you don't want kids with.
