Okay so I had three people looking at my computer at the same time, and we all had saw her moving in different directions. For me, it kept moving clockwise and never switched once. Everyone else had it switching back and forth frequently. :S

It took me like 15 min to figure it out but now I can change her direction at will. I just focus on the shadow of her swinging foot. If I want to imagine her going clockwise, I imagine the shadow of her swinging foot goes in front of the shadow of her stationary foot shadow. If I want her to go counter clockwise, I imagine the shadow of her swinging foot going behind the shadow of her stationary foot. This is one of the craziest illusions ever! good find

the only way i can do it is to look at the feet. i realized that the reflection means that you can see her turn either clockwise or counter-clockwise. so i looked at her feet UPSIDE-DOWN!!! then i turned my head 180 degrees.

here's the weird part...at 89 degrees i'll see counter, BLINK ONCE, bam at 91 degrees is goes clock!!!

I got it to switch, when I glanced over as I was reading a book. But when I tried to verify the direction, I tried to visualize a right-handed coordinate system to describe the rotation and she went back to clockwise.

So possibly the presentation of the problem (visual and asking clockwise vrs counter clockwise) is inherently right-brain? Or possibly its just inherently right-brain for just me.

Just have to cover the body and look at the legs, tell yourself when the leg swings to the left it's moving away from you and she'll go counterclockwise, tell yourself it's coming towards you and she'll be going clockwise. If i don't cover the body i can't do it. really no way to know cuz it's a shadow. The real issue here is what color are her panties???????
