You were on that jury? So how could it have been concluded if you were against it?

maybe not all legal systems are exactly like ours. It is possible that they just need a certain ratio. However irisheyes is from ireland I thought? So now Im confused since hes confused.

yeah 12 jury members. a ratio of 10-2 is enough to give guilty/ not guitly verdict.
Ugh being on a rape jury is HORRIBLE experience. The girl was on the stand for days while offender never has to step up. so its a case of do you beleive the victim.
i voted him guilty of one count of sexual assault (gave him 6 yrs) and on the count of rape life). overall verdict was 12 for 12 that he sexually assualted her while i was 10-2 infavour of not guilty of rape. i couldnt understand how he was guilty of one and not the other.
My trial was on an Irish girl, the paper included a Japanese student he assualted in the toilets of a restuarant with her boyfriend outside, he was drinking with them posing as a bouncer.
PS: also after my trial ended the victims lawyers expressed there disappointment in just him getting 6 years coz he is up on charge of raping a 85 year old women (which is included in some other charges against him.

BTW of course we werent told about any of this in court. in Ireland you are told nothing but what is in the current case. lawyers told us personally after court what the craic was.
also fucked up thing is my trial was based on something happening in 2002 so is time served probably comes in. 6 yrs from me and 6 yrs for Jap student. so its not long before he is out again??
Irish eyes he is from edenmore in dublin.
