 Whats something that you might do if you are running bad for a while? I've been having an unusually rough week, filled with lots of bad beats and bubble losses...I'm thinking I should maybe take a break for a few days or longer...maybe read a book...or should I suck it up and keep grinding?? I want some real, positive responses here, save me the sarcasm and mockery please

Just figure out if you're playing well or not, and go from there. If you're playing well and you have your head on right, just keep on keeping on and the money will come.

If you're playing bad and/or tilting, take a few days off, read some FTR, books, think about poker, etc...

Reason I mention all of this is I'm getting tired of reading posts (here and on other forums) where people bitch about variance and/or running bad for long periods of time. At some point it's not either of those things, it's just that you're not very good. Not saying that's what is going on here at all, just a random rant from me.

Breaks aren't bad in situations like this, though. When I go on breaks I usually say that I'll take 4-5 days off and within a day or two I'm jacked up and ready to play again...


EDIT: I'm leaving this post in the Community for now. Seems like it'll get more looks here than anywhere else.

 i don't know man.
i like to think that its not that i'm bad...that every good player goes through it every once and a while...and the post is more or less just to ask those 'good' players out there what they do when shit goes wrong and how they deal with the bad runs...i'm just looking for some good advice...

I usually just prefer to run good but if I were to run bad, I'd hit up my friend that's a 25/50 regular for sure. He doesn't mind dishing out some $$$ for friends.
