Purpose: To drive my wife to Lincoln, NE so she can pickup stuff stored at her mother's house and have Thanksgiving Dinner with her family.

Itinerary:
Start: 11/17 AM from Springfield, VA
Stop: Caesars Elizabeth, IN

Start: 11/18 AM
Stop: Harrahs N. Kansas City, MO

Start 11/19
Stop: Harrahs Council Bluffs, IA (play @ Horseshoe)

Start: 11/20
Stop: Holiday Inn, Lincoln, NE WTF????

Start 11/22 PM
Stop: Harrahs Council Bluffs, IA (play @ Horseshoe)

Start: 11/23
Stop: Harrahs St Louis, MO

Start: 11/24
Stop: Anyplace that gives me points. & is close to a slot joint in WV.

Start 11/25
Stop: Return to Springfield, VA in time to hit the 3:00pm Gauntlet!

We did this trip during Christmas 04. The reason we took the south I 64 route was to avoid possible snow as much as we could and hit casinos at good rest points. It worked out pretty good and got a lot of felt time.

Yeah, I know we could have driven straight point to point. I do 935 miles from VA to Tampa, Fl all the time. My record time is 12:55 min, averaging 72 miles an hour. (Only got a warning in South Carolina!) But I95 is not a casino rich environment.

 If you want to make staying in Lincoln less of a beat eat at Misty's, the Downtown place. Get something with primerib... I wasn't really impressed with their beers last time I went. The IPA (Misty's Mountain Hops) while it does have one of the best beer names ever (channeling the establishment's namesake, Led Zeppelin and the essence of a good IPA), it wasn't great last time I was there.

My cousin happens to currently be part-owner, but it's been around forever and is a Nebraska legend on gameday.
So you click their picture and then you get their money?
