while on the topic of ways to demonstrate dislike of a person on a scale.

1 being the lowest 10 being the highest

    01 - i'm not a fan
    03 - moron
05 - go the fuck away (threshold of never wanting to be around said person)
    07 - fuck you
    10 - get fucked.

I don't have a scale for disliking someone, but I always use the bbq scale for judging how much I like someone (assume mini bbq party as opposed to random lunch) . Everyone is in 1 of 3 categorys, either

    1. Would be really disappointed if I initially thought they were coming to my bbq and they now can't make it.
    2. They are allowed to come to my bbq
    3. You are not invited to my bbq.

    It's simple but effective.

Note to self: always go to the bbq

What if nothing disappoints me anymore? Two point scales aren't really that effective.

Man, I'm not sure what I'm drooling over more... the car or the road...

The car is bad ass though. I saw one up close at the race track... It was my first motorcycle track day, and I was having a blast. Then we see a private plane fly overhead, then 10 minutes later the 458 coupe pulls up in the pits. Turns out the owner of the racetrack (which the manager told me is revenue neutral at best, meaning it's just this rich guy's playground) has a small airfield on the property where he houses his stable of corvettes (one of each generation) and his newly acquired 458. Sick life, eh?

That whole vid is pr0n really.

That dude, aside from the vette's (not my favorite), is the definition of BOC. I don't like the idea of collecting vets, but maybe that's one of those elbows-are-too-pointy situations.

    My stable would have:

    1) 458 Spider
    2) Aventador
    3) 911 Turbo
    4) Evoque
    5) Amarok
    6) V-Rod Muscle VRSCF

and if they are not sold out yet,

    7) Veyron

and if no more veyrons can be found on the face of the earth withou sucking dick,

    7) SLS AMG

Out of that group, the 911 would probably be the daily driver.

I used to be really into cars, but now I'm way more into motorcycles. Also I just dig vintage stuff over the modern stuff.. I'd def have some modern cars/bikes around, but vintage is more fun As for the vettes.. ya, I thought stingrays were the shit when I was like 11, and I can appreciate the power/$ that a z06 offers, but there are def no vettes in my dream stable.

    In reply to your list...

    1) fine

    2) fine (but I'd prob just have either 1 or 2.. I enjoy fanboy rivalries, so I may as well pick sides )

    3) I'd take a gt3 rs 4.0, might not win in a straight line race from a standstill, but it should dominate the twisties. And I either want a sports car, a luxury sedan, or something for off road-- If I'm getting a fleet, I don't want to compromise.

    4) Yuk.

    5) fine, I guess.

    6) ugh...

    7) the Veyron is awesome, quad turbo w16... but... well.. ok if I had money to entertain the idea I'd probably test drive one and then I'd have to have one. So ya, fine.

7a) this car is sick, but I am a BMW fanboy so I have an irrational hatred for all things MB.

I fly free with my new job. Whenever I want, as long as I'm off and the plane isn't full. (Have to fly standby as an SA1) But can purchase a discounted ticket if I desperately need to get back for work.

Going to make a few weekend trips back to FLA. But have no idea where else I want to go.

I've spent a week in Manhattan, but besides that I've never really left the southeast US.

If you could fly anywhere in the country for a weekend trip (Fri. evening to Sun evening) where would you go? It doesn't even really have to be in the US, although I'm probably saving border crossing for full vacation weeks. Flight time is meh, since I live close to Charlotte, NC and can book non-stops to most places.

I really want to take advantage of this and see some places before I have to fully start settling down.

Marco Island, FLA is a great spot to vacation during the winter. Bit pricey though.
    Maine during lobster season.
I really liked Napa Valley in California when I was about 16.
Grand Rapids, MI during cherry season
Aspen or Breckenridge Colorado if you ski or snowboard
    VEGAS!
There's a lot of cool stuff in Austin TX, plus it's the only liberal city in tehas so you don't have to deal with the wackos. I always enjoy going out to see family there.

    Bikes list is strong.

Throw in Chicago for sure, and I'd expand Napa Valley to just California.

If I were you, I wouldn't even really worry about "doing stuff." Airfare is free, go somewhere every weekend, stay in hostels or otherwise on the cheap (unless you are BOC) and just explore. It would be so fucking cool to simply have your bearings in two dozen American cities. Obv you might wanna do some vacationy stuff here and there, but I say just explore...
