Was gooing to reread the instructions and register today but when I click on the link on the annoncement I get and error message about Firefox being redirected (which sounds like spoofing to me) and the title bar says Pacific Poker.
Can anyone else confirm this? Yeastrday I worked fine butI as at work and couldn't take the time to register then.
I wanna start earning my rakeback!

The link is down intentionally, I bet.
There are a few difficulties with True Poker in setting up the rakeback accounts, so they're just working through all the difficulties.

Smithers, use the amnesia ray.
You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

Hmmm.. I'm not sure why it goes through the "Pacific" page, but here's the URL:
Just copy-and-paste the complete address into your browser.

Seems to work today Oh well now I got the link to True Poker saved at least.
Is all the problems folks have had with setting up accounts solved? Is there something special I should think about?

Yes, everything should be working fine.
Some people just have not been entering their FULL names (first name, last name) when setting up their True Poker accounts.
Just be sure you complete all information when you register and set up a real money account. You will not receive the rakeback "welcome" email from them until all info is complete.
