Well for all issues economic I am a republican and all other issues I am usually a democrat but I will be voting for Bush. I like the fact that Bush seems like a normal person and isnt a puss. He says stupid shit sometimes but I still like him. I don't really like how he is handling Iraq and the rules of engagement need to be changed but thats life. Um and I dont think Bush is gonna win either. Maybe you werent looking for this much but thats my 2 cents.

I need to dig up a couple classic posts by moderate democrats on just how worthless Kerry is...

Heck, I'm a Moderate Republican/Libertarian and I'm hoping the Demos call for an open convention.

The other one I think was published by NRO and is members only at this point...

This guy isn't a Democrat, but calls it like he sees it...

More food for thought...

Well, this is really a case of the lesser of 2 evils in my opinion. I can't bring myself to vote for a man who is trying to tell me what I can and can't listen to on my radio or watch on my television set or say when voicing my opinion. I'm sorry but this country is built on specific principles. One of the most important being our freedom of speech and artistic expression.

Now, you may not like what someone says on the radio, or in a public forum when expressing their view points, or what you may see on TV. But those people have the right to say the things they are saying. You have free will to change the station, turn the channel or simply walk away. Excercise that right and respect that the people expressing themselves have that very same right.

Because of this I feel compelled to vote for Kerry if for no other reason than that Bush is trying to impose his moral and religious beliefs on this country and is completely disgarding that fact that church and state are to be kept separate.

Sorry for the vent, but afterall, this is a free country, isn't it!?

Yeah W panders to the fundamentalist Christians a bit, but both parties are guilty of supporting censorship for their own reasons.

Hence we have Constitutional law and the Supreme court to keep this kind of thing in check. Without such checks either party have and would encroach on our freedom to say things their voter base finds offensive.

Next think you know someone will suggest the Republicans are anti-environment...

Okay, well, not a big poll response, but interesting nonetheless.

On another forum that I admin (happens to be a Counter-Strike clan forum), there was a similar poll and the result was overwhelmingly in favor of Bush. The people on that board (and the majority of the clan) are quite conservative, so that was no surprise.

With this poll showing Kerry as being favored, does it mean that online poker players skew more to the liberal side? Or do we just happen to have more liberals here?

Interesting.

...or that half of the active members are from Cali, where they only like Republicans who are members of the Screen Acters Guild.

Yeah, most of the peeps on this board are from cali. I dont think we can draw any conclusions about the online poker community from this poll.

I could see a lot of CS people being pro-assualt gun, and therefore voting republican.

I don't live in the US, but if i did i'd be a Rep, I was glad to see Bush get in but after the Iraq war I think you need someone new in. Its not because of my views on Iraq but because the US has took a bashing on the foreign affairs front and could do with a new face. Although, if I lived there i'd vote Bush this time around too.

Bush is deff the kind of pres you would love in a war, "In case of WAR smash Glass", "Shall I push the button Dad ?"

I have no-one to vote for I h8 Blair, the Conservatives have no one decent, the other party (Liberal Democrats, OMG the hardcore Liberals) speak sense but i'm to scared of there wacky policies.

I might vote for the anti Europe party (they want us out of this big European take over). Also, there is a party called the B N P, The british national party, which is quite the raceist party. These I have a feeling are going to do quite well due to the problems we have had with illeagal immigrants and terrorists...

I know this is about US prez but i felt left out
