So I got hired for a summer job and I'm getting drug tested Wednesday. Problem is, I was playing at a live game last monday and I was kinda drunk and some guys offered me some pot so I smoked two joints. I've smoked pot one other time in my life and that was over two years ago. Wednesday will be 9 days after last monday so how likely is it that I fail this drug test? Also, what kind of shit could happen to me if I do (besides not getting the job)?

they havestuff u can take to make weed undetectable, but then they have stuff that can detect that stuff. there might be some that is undetectable though. could always get someone to piss for you.

even if you smoked 2 full joints by yourself it's likely out of your system. If you are not a cronic smoker, it only stays in your system for a couple days.
Buy something if it will make you feel better, but I think you'll be fine.

The reading I did back in the day said just the opposite - the more you smoked, the quicker your body processed it. ~shrug~ This is one of those things where there is so much info out there if you stary googling you can get any answer you want. I think it depends a lot on how fancy of a test they are willing to pay for.
I do remember they suggest you give the middle of the stream, I guess most... non pee is in the beginning and the end. Drink lots of water today/tomorrow but don't over do it on the day of the test because I think they can tell it's super dilluted.

Also bob I think they sell self drug tests now at drug stores, you could try one of those first. Negative is probably not a guarantee you're safe, but if you get a positive there I think it's safe to assume you should start looking for a way to delay it.
GL, we have a dumb society. If you had shot up or done a few lines you would have no problem.

Don't give them the first piss of the morning and do like drmcboy said and give them midstream piss, not the beginning. Make sure you're hydrated but don't overdo it.
What kind of job is it? There's a good chance they don't even care about pot, given how prevalent it is right now.

so typically it's urine and not hair right? from the things i've read about hair test, i'd basically be screwed with that, but with urine there's a good chance i'd pass. So urine is pretty much standard?

I wouldn't worry about it. I bet they'd still give you the job if you tested positive for pot. And they can't do anything worse than turn you down for the job. It won't go on any record of yours, into any database, or get turned over to the cops.
Don't drink too much water the night before and day of, b/c if your piss is too clear they'll make you reschedule the test (and it will look suspicious). Just make sure you're hydrated.

What ive always heard is that the THC is stored in your fat cells, so the more you smoke, the longer it sticks around. That being said i had a friend that smoked everyday and was on probation and had to take a drug test. He smoked a couple days before the test and bought this stuff from GNC i believe for like $40 that will make you pass the test. I dont remember what its called, but it wont say on it it will pass a drug test...

yeah no worries if it's a hair test, you're just screwed. But Blockbuster (LOL) is the only place I've ever heard of doing hair tests because of the cost.

Just say with sincerity (if you fail) that while you may well have inhaled smoke passively, you yourself do not smoke illegal drugs. Be firm, be certain, be almost angry that they might suspect otherwise.
I am pretty certain that the results of a drugs test cannot be held against you either legally or by a future employer. So don't sweat it.

i srsly dont get why the 'land of the free' needs to drug test for so many jobs. dont give me no 'its illegal BS, they dont give u a lie detector test to see if uve been speeding.
surely if the drugs ur taking are affecting u / ur work it would ecome apparent in in its self. grrr

I'm shocked you guys are put to drug tests so often with such simple low level jobs in Pepsi, Blockbuster, etc.
I really don't think traces of pot in your system could lose you a job like this. But then again I often underestimate the fierceness of the US war on drugs. Meh, if you do fail, cite Ross Rebagliati vs the Olympic commitee!

WildBob they can't do anything if you fail the drug test, they cannot give this information out to anyone, it is done in full privacy. You probably will be clean if you have never smoked before so I would not really worry about it. If the results do come back negative tell your employer what happened and that if you are given the oppurtunity to retake the drug test in a week you will pass. I am sure they will have no problems with that and it will show that you are an honest person.
And trust me, those drinks do not work. I tried them twice and each time followed the directions to the t and it did not work.

i had some friends back in college that thought taking niacin was the way to go. don't know if it actually works or not.

My understanding was that of the fat cells too. Also, if they do a hair test what you ingested is too minute to register (and it's expensive so they won't do it anyway).
I smoked one time (I used to be cronic, but had quit about a year previously) a couple weeks before a drug test. I just drank a lot of water. It was probably overly diluted, but I had no problems, and no one said anything. This was for an engineering internship with a small company.

the consensus for everything I have seen seems to be 4 days. Do not worry about diluting as you will most likely not have anything to dilute, and over-dilution will lead to a fail. Don't bother with niacin or anything else.
If you do want to dilute because you are paranoid, take some vitamin B as well as the night-before binge drinking (of water). The Vitamin B will turn your pee that nice yellow colour that they are looking for. Plus it's a vitamin that we should all probably be taking anyways, so no harmful side-effects.
If you had been a chronic smoker I would advise you to sit on your ass and do nothing physical for a few days leading up to the test, but since this isn't the case don't worry about it.
And the over-the-counter tests seem to be quite accurate, so again, if you are paranoid, take one.

drink a ton of water - i never heard of diluting a sample or having too much water in your system - the body is all water...if they mention anything just say you like to drink a lot of water for health reasons...I drink 4 quarts a day and there is nothing abnormal about that -
I have also heard that exercising is good and you will sweat it out...Drink Cranberry juice also - My best friend in high school smoked pot a lot, even up to the week he went to MEPS to join the service - Drank tons of water and cranberry juice and passed all the tests....
If you smoke like this once in awhile, it SHOULD be out of your system faster...most pot stays in like a month though - which sucks considering cocaine is out in a day or 2 - figures that the good drug sticks around for that long while the dangerous ones go right out...
is it funny to anyone that he says he doesn't smoke at all then just happens to do 2 joints? That is quite a bit for a night - even as a recreational smoker that is getting pretty fucked up

I was there that night...he did indeed smoke 2 joints and had some everclear/vodka mix. He actually seemed pretty normal even after all that.

Eat a bunch of poppy seed bagels or just alot of poppy seeds in general. If they think you're doing loads of coke who is going to notice a little pot? Fail test and blame it on bagels and demand to re-take it (preferably a few days later). Use race card if necessary.
Schedule your appointment for the very end of the day. At time of appointment pull a fire alarm or preferably call in a bomb threat because they generally close a place down longer. When they call to reschedule pick a date as far away as they let you.
After giving pot urine to pee technician fake a seizure and make sure to flail around and knock a bunch of shit over. In chaos swap clean urine cup for pot urine cup.
On day of your appointment wear the sexiest outfit you have. Seduce pee thecnician and after she/he(how badly do you want to pass?) falls madly in love with you they'll gladly let you get away with using someone else's urine.

LSD is stored in your fat cells. THC in your hair from what I know. If you don't pass you don't get the job. Nothing else will happen from this. They are not legally aloud to share your information with anyone else. They will not do a hair test.
