 Me and my mates are doing a festive pub crawl along the river Thames in Hammersmith, London on Sat.

There's 10 pubs and the plan is 2 pints in each. Throw in a few shorts, and its recipe for disaster.

Last time we did this crawl the 10th pub wouldn't serve us. Could be the fact I fell flat on my face at the bar and my mate was throwing up in their flower pot outside.

Going to be messy. Hopefully I'll be so pissed I won't be able to try and play poker when I get in......

 1 fl oz (25 ml) brandy (though you may as well triple this)
3 fl oz (75 ml) milk
1 tablespoon(s) sugar syrup
1 egg (s)
2 ice cubes
freshly grated nutmeg to garnish

Place the ice cubes in a shaker. Add the brandy, milk, sugar syrup and egg. Shake well.
Strain the mixture into large goblet(s).
Serve garnished with a sprinkling of grated nutmeg.

tastes better after 20 pints of London Pride.

rum, brandy, bourbon. or all 3 if you're feeling fruity.

sugar syrup easy to make - though you can prob buy it. Just google it, but basically heat water and sugar till you get syrup.

First year of Uni you say? Which Uni you at? I graduated a good few years ago from Leicester. Student life was quality. Hangovers didn't matter then - you just had to feel by 6pm to start again...........
