You left out the most important option, and the one I would vote for "Stop giving this guy attention, but no don't ban him either".
The best way to deal with a troll is to outright ignore them. Banning them might make them go away, but it might make them start trolling again under a new alias.
Just ignoring them will definitely make them go away.

Yes but unfortunately it's not possible for EVERYONE to ignore the troll (speaking practically) so there'll always be SOMEONE who rises to the bait. So just ban him. This isn't a fuckin' democracy you know

Why would you need to ban him?
I've read a few of his posts (mostly from "It's all bad") and he's obviously delluded if he thinks his bad beats can't occur in a live game but he doesn't seem abusive, he just has a different opinion than other posters. Isn't FTR run from "the land of the free"? I thought you guys prided yourselves on freedom of speech?
Leave him be, he is allowed his opinion. If you don't agree either argue the toss or ignore him. That can't bee too hard eh?
