When it comes to computer hardware, Im loose-passive (a fish) and I want to be able to get mIRC back. I have a mircosoft wireless router, the main hub being connected to my PS2 in the living room while the wireless thingajigger is plugged into my PC in my room. As many of you know, routers + mIRC = anal grievances. Anyone know how to get me connected? Is it possible?

Your router really shouldn't be effecting mIRC. Do you have the correct port-range open? Its something like 6660-6669 I believe.

How do I open these ports and is it safe to have a range of many ports open?

This shouldn't have anything to do with your router. What exactly is happening when you try to connect? Stupid question, but you ARE trying to connect to the new IRC network right?
TylerK: its just gambling if i want to worry about money i'll go to work lol
