Per Fnord's suggestion in the Feedback forum, I've custom-made and added some new emoticons.

Tip: When posting, you can use the "View more Emoticons" palette to select the emoticon with your mouse, but it's much faster to type it in yourself. The code for these are...
Code:
:club:  :spade: :diamond:

You.
Guys.
Rock.

There is a major reason this site kicks ass, and it begins with the letter "X."

ALL 52 PLAYING CARD EMOTICONS!

To turn our playing card emoticons on, include the word CARDS ON (without the space) in all capital letters in the body of your post and your standard hand history* will be automatically converted to display the cards as emoticons.

I just finished making these. They're essentially built from scratch, but with portions from traditional card art that I found online for the face cards.

Code:
:ac: :2c: :3c: :4c: :5c: :6c: :7c: :8c: :9c: :tc: :jc: :qc: :kc:
:ad: :2d: :3d: :4d: :5d: :6d: :7d: :8d: :9d: :td: :jd: :qd: :kd:
:ah: :2h: :3h: :4h: :5h: :6h: :7h: :8h: :9h: :th: :jh: :qh: :kh:
:as: :2s: :3s: :4s: :5s: :6s: :7s: :8s: :9s: :ts: :js: :qs: :ks:
Capital letters for ranks also work:
Code:
:As: :Kd: :Qh: :Jc: :Ts:
:As: :Kd: :Qh: :Jc: :Ts:

*Works with most standard hand histories. The history must include the cards within brackets -- [ As Ks ] -- for this to work. Ultimate Bet, for example, does not use brackets in their hand histories.

Special thanks to AvatarKava for the php conversion code.

Enjoy!

To whom it may concern:

I notice that your product is remarkably similar to our product line here at Fishstick Enterprises. To maximize our synergies, leverage technology, and think outside of the box, perhaps a merger is in order.

We look forward to working with you.

UPDATE!

Special thanks to AvatarKava, you can now have your hand histories automatically display these card emoticons!
No need to add the colons yourself. Simply include the word CARDS ON (without the space) in the body of your post and your standard hand history will be automatically converted to display the cards as emoticons.

Thanks for the code, AvatarKava!

Thanks for the code, AvatarKava!
You can also edit your post and remove that section if you'd like to take the emoticons out (for instance, if you'd like to paste it into a hand replayer).

If it's not your post, you can go into your profile and turn smileys off to get the original code to paste into Hand Replayer, etc.

Can you guys make it so you don't even need to type CARDS ON, and instead maybe just a CARDS OFF command if you don't want the cards for whatever reason.

Don't know. AvatarKava would have to answer that.

By the way, this code only works with hand histories in which the cards are enclosed in brackets -- [ Ah Kh ] -- which most of the sites use. Ultimate Bet does not use brackets in their hand histories.

I could set it to show cards by default, but I have a sense that would anger people who post full tournament hand histories who don't want to have to type CARDSOFF ....

Up to you guys though - it's just as easy either way.
