Those are some great weapons. I think BFG should be second.
I dunno though. Duke Nukem shrink ray, AWP (I guess rail gun), and SEphiroth's sword come to mind.

No way, red shells totally kick ass compared to the BFG.
I agree with both their #1 and #2 in that order.
Though I'm really surprised that Duke Nukem's Shrink Gun didn't make the list. They must have overlooked it.

well, to be honest, i just started playing HL2.
Someone sent me some hacked steam that allows me to d/l all their games, so i played half-life 1 last week and it was real fun. Nice, bunch of jumping puzzels, fun weapons and worlds.
But half-life 2 is maybe the greatest video game ever. The grav gun, the bugbait, the alien rifle, the storey thus far (im pretty close to the end)
Its starts out like half-life 1, just jumping and shooting, then it turns into like a racing game, then into a really fucked up zombie game, back to a raccing game and now just a fun fps with a weapon that controls an army of antlions.
Just really sweet.
So #1 is def the grav gun. but the BFG was the first end-all weapon is fps'ers.
