Is there anyway for me to have a folder require a password to open? Or a word file require a password to read?
I run windows XP and am the only one that uses this computer.

Yes you can have a folder with a password and you can have txt files with passwords. Give me an hour or so and I'll post links so that you can download the applications.
Do you just want it for your computer? Or do you need to send the folders/files over he web or to other computers and still be password protected?
EDIT:
Locknote for passworded txt files

Folder lock for passwording folders
http://www.newsoftwares.net/folderlock/
I think locknote is free, note sure about folderlock - but I can get it cracked if you need it? Le me know

Folder lock works like a dream but it says that it can be registered but doesn't tell me why I would want to do that.

Apologies for posting a torrent link, I wasn't aware that you couldn't post them on here.
