Either fish will lose their money faster, or they will tilt on my tables cause they lost money in blackjack.

My only real concerns about the changes are
  • 1) the circus that Party has become -- gambler side bets and crap like that -- yuccch
    2) and that somehow they will consolidate PLuck and SLuck and other Party house variations out of the bonus heaven it has been and into one big PartyGaming platform with a single sign-on (and single bonus)
Here's the press release: http://www.partygaming.com/images/ne...h_08_10_05.pdf
I'm a know-it-all.

No, really.

I have mixed feelings about the blackjack. It'll either be acool feature that attracts more fish (a lot of my less-talented poker playing friends all love blackjack for some reason) but It's also bad because it gives the fish a place to lose money that's not us

If you had two cards of one color, would taking a sidebet of the other color not be +EV?

ex. You have two black cards leaving 50 cards left in the deck, 26 of which are red. Flopping one red card would be 26/50, the probability of flopping a second would be 25/49 and getting a 3rd would be 24/48.

(26/50)x(25/49)x(24/48) = 0.13265
1/8 = 0.125

The sidebets pay 8:1. Is this not +EV, or am I approaching it wrong?
This could open the door for colluders too although with a max sidebet of $0.50, I don't see how it would be worth taking the chance.

when you place a sidebet, you are betting on the flop of the next hand. therefore, you don't get to see hole cards before you bet.

on a side note, after pulling in +11BB/100 today, I love the new solo-party

I don't mind the blackjack.

The change I don't like is the separation from the skins.
