if I'm getting my ass beat in an MMA fight, the last thing I would want is my corner to scream in my face between rounds lol. just let the dude rest; he probably isn't listening and certainly isn't logically processing any info

Why in the fuck is Nick Diaz getting a title shot coming off of a loss? JOHNY FUCKING HENDRICKS PLEASE.

God I will laugh my fucking balls off if Nick Diaz gets shitcanned again.
  22. #922
gsp crushes both diaz and hendricks anyway so whatevs

I guess Dana didn't wanna stall another GSP fight with a hendricks diaz fight before or something? GSP/jones/silva fights have to make the most coin.

    Agreed @ fucking hendricks please.

Diaz doesn't even deserve to be in the title picture right now, Jesus fucking Christ. His best win in recent years is over BJ Penn, and he doesn't have another win against anyone even remotely relevant.

I'm rather uninterested in GSP vs Diaz because it always goes to decision and GSP always wins that. Nick won't be able to KO or sub him, and the only way he can win a decision is if he stuffs the takedowns, yet he won't.

It's a boring fight and Diaz vs Lawler II and GSP vs Hendricks are much better.

I don't have a problem with Diaz getting a title shot off of a loss, however. I don't want my opinion to be dictated by moron judges who don't know how to correctly score a fight. Even then, wins and losses don't matter as much to me as stellar matchups and exciting fights. I'd also rather see GSP vs Maia right now more than any other option. GSP beats everybody in the division except perhaps a smothering Maia. That's a good one

GSP vs Hendricks will be a great one
  31. #931
Pretty sure I'll be picking Hendricks as the favorite against GSP. That'll be a first

AND STILL WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD

    IT'S THE JUGGERNAUT BITCH

Diaz swinging at GSP after the bell was pretty shitty. :/
  33. #933
lol loved gsp after the 4th round, couldn't find his corner and his "is it over?" comment.

yeah gsp v hendricks should be fun.
  34. #934
give me tips again please wuf
  35. #935
Just post lines you're looking at here. I don't try to breakdown nearly as many fights as I used to, but there are usually a few easy ones
  36. #936
Apparently I'm not a Diaz fan anymore because the hate GSP is getting is idiotic. He didn't LnP nor jab and jog. He was actually pretty aggressive this fight, and Nick disengaged more than he did.
  37. #937
man i cant help but think that weidman got something for silva

frank mir going full retard against daniel "im a lot better than brock lesnar" cormier

werdum time gonna reset nogueira time

dana white jacks off to the thought of brown pride putting the beating on bigfoot again

hendricks will ko gsp then maia will bjjfuck hendricks. one can only hope. or the french robot wins all fights for the next decade....as usual

    No.

Maybe the first two guys I actually would want to see wrestle tho. I mean that in the least gay way possible.
  39. #939
well in seriousness, it's very unlikely hendricks ko's him, but this is also a good fight due to the fact gsp is going to get hit hard a few times and wont be able to dictate everything
  40. #940
tbh though if the fans were smart we'd all be calling for condit vs hendricks 2 (as a five rounder) and maia vs gsp

fuck belts. great fights are all that matter

I think right now I like the following matches for welterweight:

    GSP vs. Hendricks

Hendricks is the obvious number one contender at this point. He's beat Fitch, Koscheck, Kampmann and Condit in his last four fights. The 170 lb. title picture is a little weird right now with no one else being a clear contender. If GSP loses, he will probably get an immediate rematch, and that will give the rest of the division time for someone to string together three quality wins. If GSP wins, then I could see him facing the winner of Maia vs. Kampmann.

    Maia vs. Kampmann

Kampmann is coming off of a loss against Hendricks, a win against Ellenberger and a win against Alves. Maia has wins over Fitch and Story in his past two fights. This is likely the match that will determine the number one contender if GSP beats Hendricks. If GSP wins and this fight ends in a draw for some reason, the 170 lb. division is going to be left with nobody to challenge GSP, and Hendricks might get a rematch.

    Condit vs Ellenberger

Condit hasn't beaten anyone of note in the past few years aside from Diaz, and he beat Ellenberger in 2009 via split decision. Ellenberger, on the other hand, has wins against Marquardt, Hieron and Sanchez with a loss to Kampmann in his past four fights.

    MacDonald vs. Lawler

Nothing too crazy from MacDonald here. He's yet to beat anyone who is top ten, but he might be ready to springboard into action. Lawler is coming off of a win from Koscheck.
  42. #942
wtf bro nick diaz deserves an immediate rematch bro

srsly though i like that because it means maia gets the next shot. because he's not losing to kampmann. giving the shot to kampmann before ellenberger will upset a lot of people, and vice versa, but there's little to do about that

If it's true that Bellator fighters aren't drug tested, I may have to start watching that. Athletic commissions are the quintessence of bad government and public opinion on drug use is about as dumb as thinking the Earth is 6000 years old.

I generally agree, though silva & gsp's belts are special cases given how many times they've defended them.

It's kinda like when a pitcher pitches a perfect game. It's boring because there's even less action than baseball normally has, but it's still captivating because you're just never sure how long he can keep it going.

if hunt ko's junior, my pants are gonna get real messy

No matter how badly Jones beats Hero Sonnen, at least us true fans have Mark "Yeah" Hunt to root for

  58. #958
    so excited for this ppv.

i hope chael can actually do something. i have no idea what, jones is such a bad match up for him and pretty much everyone else.

    Lol gross.

Glad it didn't go to doctor stoppage though.

was so convinced this was the mark hunt dos santos etc. etc. UFC when I chucked it on the computer for the flight home. was disappoint till it turned out to be such a badass card.

is anyone able to fill me in on what determines if a stoppage due to foul goes to the judges or is a DQ? spoiler spoiler spoiler I really thought bisping had just lost that fight a la jones/hamill.
  63. #963
i'm not 100% but i don't think an eye poke is considered a foul or illegal blow like a kick to the balls, 12-6 elbow, kicking a downed opponent, etc.

jon jones was DQed for a 12 to 6 illegal strikes when his opponent was unable to continue (his only loss).

i think it also has to do with how long the fight had been going. they went to the scorecards with bisping since it was round 3. not sure what would have happened if it happened in round 1?
  64. #964
This card made me want to stop watching the sport. Roy was the only good part

Chael took 1/10th the unanswered shots that Brock did against Carwin or Mir does against anybody. That fight desperately needed to see the beginning of a second round because even though Chael said Jones out-wrestled him, Chael was also at a deficit in wrestling the entire round due to being surprised. Furthermore, it becomes much harder to get takedowns in later rounds, and Chael was doing good enough on the feet that the fight would get verrrrrryyyyy interesting.

We were robbed of a stellar fight due to shit reffing, and with the broken toe we were robbed of a crazy awesome rematch with everybody's heads assploding based on the reason for that rematch

Bisping/Belcher was a sparring session and I hate them both. It's hard to not hate Bisping anyways since he's the least introspective person to ever live and his hypocrisy flows like a waterfall

My guess is that McMann will fight Meisha, then the winner fights the winner of Rousey/Zingano. Ronda stomps all four

After Hunt kicks Junior's ass, Nelson will be a step down. Don't be fooled, under no circumstances can Roy catch Mark with that overhand
  65. #965
So I've got Rockhold stomping Vitor's ass. Vitor only beats guys who cannot be true contenders, and AKA is easily the best gym right now.

In other news, I had a dream that I was talking smack about Overeem while he was standing behind me, but I didn't care because I knew I could take that pussy
  66. #966
my mama tried to teach me to never bet against a brazilian in brazil

    hes afeared of silva tho
  67. #967
gonna have to start de- and re-friending you every weekend gmml, you're catching up with dozer on # of times I've spoiled fights for myself by reading yer shit

    teixeira
    maynard

i don't really know anyone else.
  72. #972
anyone watch the belfort v rockhold fight? luke looked nervous from the start. The sousa fight before had some entertaining grappling in it too.
  73. #973
belfort looks amazing, and yeah rockhold was scurred it seems. but idk, they were both kind of feeling each other out and belfort caught rockhold, would have been interesting when/if rockhold started opening up.

belfort is gonna get another shot at silva after silva beats weidman. i doubt the super fight ever happens and if it does jones dominates silva, or silva dominates gsp.
  74. #974
i guarantee jds is going to spend a good deal of time looking for a takedown
  75. #975
not a good day for new zealanders
