I remember after the game I thought the refs had a Steelers tilt. I just watched a replay and noticed that Sea waaaaay lost that game. They could have easily overcome the ref tilt. And also, I seem to recall 2 games earlier where the refs almost lost us the colts game by overturning the Poly int late in that game. But the Steelers overcame.
It's really lame that anyone would care enough to even bring this up years later.

lol only stealer fans think that game was close to fair. yes, we could have still won, but we shouldn't have HAD to overcome refs making shit up against us. the best/worst was hasselbeck getting flagged for an illegal block WHILE MAKING A FUCKING TACKLE!!
i don't hate the team or their fans though. i'd have taken the trophy if it was just handed to us as well.
also, DID YOU KNOW JEROME BETTIS IS FROM DETROIT?!?!?!? OMG!!!
the only good outcome of this game is for pitt to earn it, but refs hand it to cards, pitt is then even (even if we aren't) and a division rival wins it, but didn't earn it.

i was being somewhat facetious. i acknowledge the facts of that game, but i presented my 'argument' in a very silly manner in a silly thread so as not to give the impression that i wanted to debate seriously. it is afterall like you said, in the past and pointless
fwiw tho iirc the large majority of commentators and analysits and nfl personnel who have weighed in on the subject agree that the refs did not do their job, and that the consequences made pittsburgh the benefactor. and whenever people do not acknowledge truths i lose a piece of my soul
